It just shows that open homosexuals on American Idol will probably never be successful! Clay Aiken? Bullshit...he was in the closet! But two really talented guys have left back to back! I think it's ridiculous! David Hernandez could out-sing half of those people with his belting and great sense of riffing! He was SO incredible! I think the controversy of him being gay is the real downfall behind his defeat. I mean watch his Hollywood audition, Rolling Stone song, etc. He is NOT a bad singer! In fact, he is phenomenal and got SHAFTED! Come on America…really? What has this horrible show turned in to? Half of these people are not some of the best singers in America! I guarantee TRUE singers who are really good (like myself) will agree that this is NOT the best of the best! He just left. Also, have we EVER had a openly gay male in the top 10? I don't think so! I am sure there are PLENTY of great gay singers, I just don't think the producers want to broadcast it because of ratings and that SUCKS! okay I am done :-)

I'd have liked him to stick around longer, but he was around long enough to demonstrate his singing skills. I'm not gonna worry about him.

Syeesha had a significantly lower amount of votes on Dial Idol, which even though it is an imperfect software program, should have been fairly accurrate judging by the significant difference between the bottom 2, which was (I think) 3 whole percentage points, or something like that. The show is absolutely fixed. I beleive he got more votes than her. TPTB just didn't want to keep answering questions about another weak "scandal"

Even though they claimed that stripping "didn't matter", you could tell they were annoyed that he was taking media attention away from their beloved Devil Child, so they rigged the votes to make sure he goes home, claiming he got the lowest number of votes. Fuck this bullshit!

It's about ratings and striking while the iron is hot. They use up the "Idols" and throw them away, just in time for the next crop. That is the recording industry in a nutshell. However, I do not remember Hernandez being openly gay? Sure, he was plenty gay, but not openly. It could even be argued that his stripper scandal was his downfall. (of course it's just as likely that he got booted because HE FUCKIN SUCKED LAST NIGHT.)

You can only vote for people you can't vote against people... I do think he was one of the more talented people this year and maybe the gay stripper story turned a few voters away, but that's their perogative... like Carly being a seasoned pro turned people away or Robbie being Brittany's ex bf, but like I said you can't vote against people and although I think he is much much better than Kristy, Syesha, Amanda, Jason... his boot is nothing out of the ordinary.

Lying thieving bastards........ My favorite Idol crap was when they admitted they didn't count the text messages in the final tally of one of the big finales (Clay/Reuben maybe with all that controversy) due to a "technical error" or something like that. I wonder if AT&T gave everyone their money back (doubt it), and also wonder why someone who spent even $1 on a text message didn't start a class action lawsuit again AI and AT&T over this? I get invitations to be part of some "class action lawsuit" over nonsense worth less than this every week. I think it's the favorite sport among attorneys these days, especially with companies with deep pockets.

Dial Idol is not 100% accurate (so you can't trust it 100%). ps. did you vote for Hernandez for 2 hours? If you didn't, then it's partly your fault that he got eliminated.

I doubt it is the producers who kicked him off. Nigel and Simon both supported him after the stripper story came out. Neither one of them cared. Danny and David H. are gone now, so homophobes can rejoice! Any other minorities we have to weed out?

I know there are PLENTY who audition and are proud of whom they are. Is America just not ready for a contestant to be gay, proud, and happy to talk about it or his or her relationship/ past? I hope I make a little sense because my initial post was a huge ranting session out of anger. I just feel like everyone whose gay who auditions and/or makes it through has to HIDE who they are. The ones who don't we BARELY see make the top 24…that's the producer's fault. Come on now, all the great gay choir boys and musical theatre kids, who are versatile in their singing NEVER gets a chance. In the first round auditions, so many amazing openly gay guys (it was quite obvious) just got the axe. It just sucks! Like I feel like I would have to hide who I am on the show because it sucks that America just won't settle for a gay American Idol contestant or pop Idol in general. Colton (I mean we could all tell), Danny, and now David (who probably surprised the judges/producers)…it just sucks because that little bit of hope this season has now been ruined! :-/
