I just went through the interview and callback process for a reality/game show, and now I've been given this insanely huge BOOK that they call a contract that I am supposed to sign to be on the show. I read the contract and it's highly disturbing. I don't think I'm going to sign it! I want to know if this is NORMAL --

By signing the contract, I agree that the show can humiliate me, degrade and defame me, invade my privacy, subject me to public ridicule, place me in a false light, reveal intimate, personal, private (etc.) information about me -- WHETHER FACTUAL OR FICTIONAL!!! and generally make me look like an ass and ruin my life. PLUS by signing the contract, I permanently and forever give this production company the exclusive rights to my LIFE STORY in any form. That seems a little excessive, doncha think?

Now maybe I don't quite understand what this show will be about -- it's a new show. But it's not Survivor or Big Brother or anything like that. I don't have to live anywhere special for any period of time. It's really just a game show! Is this standard fare for these kinds of contracts? Can anyone tell me?
