1. Amanda -- yeah I know
2. Carly 3. Brooke -- perfectly fine, but she didn't put enough meaning into the chorus; she also needs to switch it up soon 4. Chikezie -- he was #1 for the week in momentum because everyone else did variations of what they already do 5. Ramiele 6. David Cook -- didn't he do this exact performance last week? 7. Michael 8. Jason - coasting to an increasingly blatant degree 9. David Hernandez 10. David Archuleta 11. Kristy 12. Syesha -- a big nothing wearing a Debbie Allen costume Bottom three will be David H/Syesha/Michael (or Ramiele). I think Syesha will go, but won't be surprised if David H goes. |

1. David Cook, "Eleanor Rigby"- rocking, menacing perfection; easily the best of the night 10/10
2. Chikezie, "She's A Woman"- from the bayou to the stadium, Chikezie turned this single into a soul rock journey 9/10 3. Jason Castro, "If I Fell"- he's in his element when it comes to soft college rock, like Brooke he may not have the vocal chops, so he'll have to rely on his ability to connect with the song and his audience, and that's why this works 6.5/10 4. Carly Smithson, "Come Together"- she definitely brought the funk but the band has to stop trying to drown her out, and what about that blue-tunic dress? 6.5/10 5. Brooke White, "Let It Be"- she's strongest in a soulful understated fashion and that's what makes this performance work, again, the band needs to back off a little in the end of the song because it forces Brooke to scream a little 6/10 6. Michael Johns, "Across the Universe"- a good, albeit unambitious and unremarkable, rendition 6/10 7. Syesha Mercado, "Got To Get You Into My Life"- got to get the band offa my stage, seriously, turn it down a notch, diva's on stage here, Syesha needed to power up her voal here and add a little more energy to fight the "blahs" 4/10 8. Ramiele Malubay, "In My Life"- frankly this song deserves better than to be slowed down into a prom song, it's breathy and good vocally but the melody is lost because of the slow and limited arrangement. and "no" to the final note 3/10 9. David Hernandez, "I Saw Her Standing There"- what happened to your mad vocal skills? you looked like you were winded in a high school production, it was all so understated vocally with overstated dancing 2.5/10 10. David Archuleta, "We Can Work It Out"- You couldn't work this out. 11. Amanda Overmyer, "You Can't Do That"- It's beatles week, and you're marble-mouthing an obscure song. You can't do that. Although I'm sure Carly took "Come Together" away from you. (Bitch.) That song would've been so you. 2/10 12. Kristy Lee Cook, "Eight Days A Week"- Turning "Eight Days A Week" into "Cotton-Eye Joe" is criminal in most states. Apparently not from where Kristy comes from. Please end this nightmare. 0.5/10

I actually don't even care. Grats on getting the Lennon/McCartney library American Idol and having one of the worst shows I have ever seen.
With the exception of Amanda I think all of them are extremely talented but all of them lacked that X factor tonight. Most of them lack it every night even if they sing OK. It should be a girl to go home because in general the girls this season aren't quite as good but it could really be any of them. They all equally sucked. |

No one was really great this week imo. Here's my choice for the three worst:
B. Kristy Lee -- 2/10 G. David Hernandez -- 3/10 H. David Archuleta -- 3/10 With a (dis)honorable mention to Ramiele for her lousy rendition. |

1. Brooke White, "Let It Be"--Easily my favorite of the night. She can get away with being overly-sweet (it would be annoying on anyone else.)
2. David Cook, "Eleanor Rigby" -- Not my favorite performance of his, but I liked it well enough. 3. Jason Castro, "If I Fell" -- A nice rendition. He was veering towards boring, but kept it on this side of interesting. 4. Chikezie, "She's A Woman" -- I have not been a fan, but I appreciated his effort and it kept my attention. (Those were the only ones I cared for. The ones that follow could all go home and I wouldn't mind:) 5. Michael Johns, "Across the Universe" -- A little boring. 6. Ramiele Malubay, "In My Life" -- A lot boring. 7. Carly Smithson, "Come Together" -- I just don't see it. She is OK, but the entire package is just meh. 8. Syesha Mercado, "Got To Get You Into My Life" -- I keep thinking she could be better than this, but it never seems to happen. 9. David Hernandez, "I Saw Her Standing There" -- I was waiting for him to break out a cane and start tap-dancing. 10. Amanda Overmyer, "You Can't Do That" -- I just hated it. I just hate her. Tie for worst: 12. Kristy Lee Cook, "Eight Days A Week" -- That made me physically ill. And if she talks about having to sell her horse one more time, I'll puke. Who paid for the horse to begin with? Spoiled, rotten, brat. 12. David Archuleta, "We Can Work It Out" -- Little spazz ain't going anywhere because he has the tween vote locked up, but he sure messed that up big time. He reminds me of a male Katpee...the same pageanty-take on everything. |

1. David Cook 2. Brooke (gap) 3-9 interchangable (gap)10. Syesha (huge gap)11. David Archuleta 12.KKKristy. Going home: David Hernandez. The singers worse than
him last night have bigger fanbases. Unless KKKristy's pandering to the country fans is too obvious and backfires.
