Did me mentioning "gifting" strike too close to home? I just read on TWOP that Cook's official website has "gifting" instructions just in case the fans couldn't figure it out on their own. I imagine one would have to actually purchase the song in order to participate in a gifting and as I haven't purchased the song (I'm patiently waiting for the 8-track), I guess the whole gifting thing flew right over my poor little ol' dim Cooktard head. Can I borrow your copy? |

Most recent Idol music bought: Jennifer Hudson's album. My fav Idol guys are Elliott Yamin, Daughtry and Archie (distant third). Cook has a good rock voice but is so overrated and such a poser it's fun to hate on him. Plus Archie got so much h8te here, someone has to keep the Cook h8te alive. I will enjoy the trainwreck if Archie's generic pop outsells Cook's generic rock though.

Cool, Open. Archie is really "one of these doesn't belong" on your list, but that's okay. It's just my opinion.
You call Cook a poseur, and that is the only thing I have an issue with. The guy has been trying to get his voice and his music heard for years, and maybe he has toned down his personal tastes temporarily to make that happen. So what makes him a poseur? On top of which, has any AI winner ever been generous enough in spirit to essentially treat the runner-up, and others imo, as co-winners? That speaks volumes, to me at any rate, about Cook's lack of ego. I will go on record here: When Archie released his single, Cook asked all of his fans to support Archie, buy the single, etc. That support has not been reciprocated. Probably due to Archie's parents, because I believe Archie would willingly support Cook. Archie is a good kid. I don't think Archie's endorsement means beans to Cook's success or lack thereof, but it would have been nice to see some cross-support after everything Cook has done for Archie. |

I have a confession to make. You see, I was one of the first people to start pushing DC back in February on TWoP (before I got banned), pointing out how he was
a sleeper, and the one to watch, etc. etc. I even believe I may have been somewhat responsible for the snowball effect that soon followed. But as the season
progressed, I started to get annoyed with his ever-changing hairstyles, wardrobe, strained vocals, and increasingly pretentious attitude. Now I think he is a
complete douche, and wish Archie had won instead. I ask your forgiveness, but fully understand if you don't grant it. I hang my head in shame.
ps: roachc420, love the "maternity pants" avi... lol! I wish I had known about this thread earlier.

It's hard to describe.... He is nice to his fans, and to Archie, but I can't help but thinking it's all calculated. He's all too aware of the cool-but-nice!guy image he is trying to project, and that bugs me. And his vocal abilities have been way overrated by the delirious fans... when that happens, I have a tendency to be a contrarian and shift to the other side of the boat. |

As for his vocal abilites...not over rated at all. He's got incredible range and ability. Plus, he's a kick ass song writer as well. |

C'mmon we can beat that! Spread the word!"

We're helping the hate by asking the haters questions about why they hate. In theory this would give them a perfect opportunity to spout their hate and
justify why David Cook sucks. Unfortunately it seems the haters don't really have a leg to stand on and their explanations of why they don't like David
are lacking to say the least. When asked a question and you respond with "It's hard to describe...." it means you don't have a reason and
you're just grasping at straws.

I may be wrong but LO smells like a loser. If they make Cook sing (scream) it on every live performance it has the potential for Break Anotha permanent damage.
They should rework the song or drop another (better) single pronto.
