And apparently we haven't even gotten past the tip of the iceberg. There's a nervous quality, while there's also a naiveté and sincerity to him as well. Successful new characters: Ben, Juliet, Desmond. Unsuccessful new characters: AnaL, Niki, Paulo. Notice the crappy characters were killed off. Don't Arzt Faraday!

And there are people who would argue that none of your list of crappy characters are crappy. I love Faraday too. Great character, great acting. I kind of want him and Ben to have some scenes together, that could be fun. ETA: I just remember how the island killed off the previous man of science. Who do you mean by that? I thought Jack was the "Man of Science"?

The Constant was the best episode by far & I loved the part with him and Desmond at Oxford university. TBTB sure went above & beyond casting this part. He is also kinda cute too.
