I know this was a page back, but I wanted to say I enjoyed your review of Archuleta's album. The mainstream reviews tend to hate most Idol people, or twist
themselves into knots to explain why they don't hate them. I'm probably not buying any Idol CDs (the last one I bought was Kim Locke's second album
- one of three people who did), but if I did buy it, your review would be a guide.

I hug myself every time I hear this song, because I can feel Archie's pain emanating from the song. Oh, the shy glances he has to secretly sneak at that special person in band camp... reminds me of my own band camp days. Not that I was suffering from companionship back then, but I suppose if I was ever a shy short guy told by daddy that God would kill me if I ever touch myself inappropriately, I would be singing the blues just like Archie too. Fabulous song! Touch My Hand Archie, if you ever ditch that father, grow another few inches in height, and take dancing lessons from David Hernandez, you will be giving me the naughty look from across the stage as you catch my panties that I throw at you with your mouth and give me a naughty wink as you mouth "Room 103" at me in between the chorus lines. And baby, this will be the song playing over the radio as we do those things that your mother warned you about in that room. Barriers Oh god, what a mature-sounding Archie in this song! Clearly he is aware that there are many barriers preventing him from pressing his face between my generous breasts - the suffocating Mormon underwear he is forced to wear, for start - and this song expresses his anguish as he writhes in his bed at night, torn between touching himself as he thinks of me and remaining true and pure as God desired him to be. Too many locks, too many @%@@%, too many barriers, Archie. What are we to do, sweetheart? My Hands Nothing expresses the pent-up desires in Archie's tormented soul, to experience love and all the beautiful sensations associated with it, than the way his hands work their magic over his feverish skin.
