They couldnt have gotten fake babies?They have ones that have computer chips in them and it tells you all the interactions, I feel sorry for those kids. I
want to know who would offer their kids up to these people? scary.

My kids had to have those awful robot babies in junior high. They had to hand them back in without killing them to pass. It was tough. Especially when you get
one that's supposed to be a crack baby, or the damn key doesn't work. They do a computer check on them to see how long it took to respond to crying. I
assumed I'd never be a grandmother after those weekends.

They could have gotten a fake baby but I htink for this show they are going to give the people babies of varying ages. I dont think I would offer these people
a infant but I would gladly give them a toddler. It would be pretty hard to do anyhting to hurt them while people are watching.

This show has been taken off NBC's schedule for now and will replace it with "My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad."

Nothing really prepares you for being a real parent though. I remember babysitting and doing the home-ec egg baby thing and I still loved babies. Not enough to
have a pact w/some friends and get knocked up. Nooooo I was so scared of that!

True - especially after the MA teen pregnancy pact story broke - are you kidding me?! depending on the actual educational value of the show it might not hurt
to start showing it in sex ed or parenting classes that high schools have. It's just scary when a teenage girl needs to use motherhood as a personal
identifier

i'd never give my baby up to a reality show. i don't care what precautions were set up.
but say i made that unwise choice? the first time i heard my baby referred to as "it"? as in "let it cry?" $#@#%... |

I'm suprised they didn't show more of the girl who refused to wear the belly with the baby. I mean, if she can't wear a fake belly you'd think
she'd have a complete mental breakdown when taking care of a baby.

I'm just halfway through this thing and I had to come in here and rant about the girl who won't wear the belly. She's sitting there with her big
beefy arms hanging out and talking about how the belly thing made her feel fat. She should take a look at her arms in a tank top, she's no stick figure.
Sheesh. If she can't do it for a day, she can't be pregnant. Being pregnant SUCKS and she's nowhere near ready. But of course I'm sure she
won't see that reality staring her in the face.
