Too bad the Tocantins discussion got wiped. But at least we have our FF4, assuming (as is logical) that Coach and Deb are gone in the next two weeks:

As time passes, I'm doubting more and more that we'll ever see the erased postings return.

WHAT???? WHAT????? WHAT DID I MISS????? (panic) (gasp) Did our thread disappear???? And reappear???? Huh. Huh. FLF said that something is very sad. What is
very sad, FLF?? I have been having the feeling I should copy the posts from this thread. Is that what happened? Well... if it reappeared, it must've been
due to the spells of the Magic Rabbit Who Guards Us All. (I'm a little punchy after a very long day 8:)
Edited to add: All right. I just copied all of the posts from Tocantins. Just in case. ~:)

Yep, you missed our total destruction and resurrection, LV. But, all is right again, so we can go back to blissfully forgetting about our mortality! (Oh,
jeez, that's a little dark. Oh well, la-la-la-la-la...)

So NOW all is right with the FF4 world (one boot off): Father: JT Mother: Taj Son: Stephen Daughter: Erinn Eccentric: Coach WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! As long as neither JT nor Taj go next week, we will have a FF4. I'm so happy! FLF, I was remembering your words about a mother who eats her children the entire episode tonight!! She even looked a little witch-like by the end. Taj was the absolute mother from early on this ep -- when everyone gave her their money so she could see her husband, I could feel us all nodding... (unrelated, but entertaining atmospheric note... my husband and I are in the big city tonight celebrating our anniversary for a few days ;) .. we had a lovely dinner, which I'll admit I hurried along a wee little bit so that I could catch the show on the big flat screen in our room ;) Next week's ep should be very interesting... |

However, neither Kathy nor Debbie were true mothers. Kathy was a M/E, Debbie was a M/D. The prediction should probably be changed to, 'There will not be
two true Fs or Ms in the F6'.

Kathy was a M/E, Debbie was a M/D. The prediction should probably be changed to, 'There will not be two true Fs or Ms in the F6'. I don't know if I'd make that move yet, personally. I'm still seeing Debbie as a Mother, maybe more so than Taj has been this season. But her game fell apart when Tyson was booted. I don't expect a Mother figure to remain the doting, clucking, mama hen, when she sees the coup slaughtered and she's soon to be next. When Debbie's Timbira family was intact, she definitely played the caring, nurturing non-threat. Her relationship to Tyson seemed to have a flirtatious aspect, but she still was the non-threatening female presence in her camp that anchored a lot of situations. Anchoring is a big part of the Mother Father thing for me. In that sense, she and Coach really failed. They tore their tribe up at the merge (along with Tyson.) |

Olmec Donald wrote:i agree with that... and actually, i am surprised that Kathy was listed an M.... i always considered her an E in my head. like "Coach" E.... THEY think they are this (mother/father) role, but no one else sees them that way... to me this is almost as big of a flag for an E as the whole loyalty thing for FLF.... Even Crystal from last season fits this. |

Timbira had no chance when the core alliance was E.....
Both Mother Deb and Father Coach were E? Oy.... Well played, Burnett. |

Even Tyson was partly E. Three E's together spells DOOM.

WARNING: SOMETHING weird is happening with the board. It's been disappearing posts again until I reload the page. Don't worry, though, I've saved
the season! Email me if the board goes down before Sunday!!
Mother: Taj Father: JT Son: Stephen Daughter: Erinn FF4 predicts that JT has the best chance of winning (Fs have a slight advantage over Ms)--particularly if he's in the F2 with Erinn or Stephen. ~~**~ REPOST OF FF4 HYPOTHESES ~**~~ 1) The F6 will contain an E, an F, an M, and some kids. (14 of 18 seasons) YES! We had 2 Ms this time, though 2) F4 will not contain two people with the same role. (13 of 18) YES! 3) There will not be 2 Fs or 2Ms in the F6 (2/18). (In the odd situation where there are two Ms or two Fs, one will be a failed M or F.) NO: Two Ms this time until F5. 4) The F2 will not be two dads nor two moms. (0/18) YES! 5) the F2 generally will not be two kids. (has been only 5 of 17) However, in the rare case the F2 is two kids, at least one will be an "unusual" child with strong "adult" (leader) tendencies. We Shall See. 6) The winner will not be E. (0/18) YES! 7) If a parent is in the F2 with a non-parent, the parent will win. (7 times parent-nonparent has been in F2; 6 times the parent has won) Historical FF4 finishes (1st letter was the winner, second letter came in second, etc.): ****AND TWO NON-FF4 HYPOTHESES, BUT NONETHELESS, INTERESTING:**** * At F4, the second most likeable has the best chance; the least likeable can't win (Kirblar's observation). Any ideas about whom is most likeable, second most, etc.? I'd say Erinn is the least likeable and therefore can't win. My guess is JT is most likeable, with Stephen second and Taj third, which would mean Stephen has the best chance. * The most popular person going into the F3 has NEVER WON the Final IC (Craig's observation). We no longer have those polls on the cbs site to tell us who is most popular with most fans. Any ideas? Now, if it is JT, then he is unlikely to win the final IC (if this is not an F3 season). S1: F,D,M,E S2: M,S,F,D S3: S,M,F,E S4: M,D,M,F S5: F,S,M,E S6: D,E,S,F S7: M,E,S,D S8: D,S,M,F S9: F,E,M,D S10: F,D,S,D S11: D,D,S,M * (F voted out F7) S12: S,D,F,M S13: S,E,D,M * (F voted out F7) S14: F,M/S,E (only an F3, so hard to tell who was 2nd and who 3rd) S15: S,D,D/E,M *(F3 season again) S16: D, D, M, D S17: F, M, D, S (F3 season) One more thing... does anyone know if this is a F2 or F3 season? I don't like the F3 season endings as much, so I'm rooting for F2. :)

Lady V, something that we haven't talked about is the way Stephen and JT have been shown as talking like twins. They start and finish each other's
thoughts. Don't know what that means but it's there.
Twin brothers? Co-leaders? JT said something interesting last week: That Taj knew that he and Stephen were the only men there. So, what did this slip mean as far as how JT viewed Coach? |

fat little fingers wrote: I know it looks at the moment like Stephen will win, but you never know. Family ties have run strong in the past. To me, Stephen is acting like a son who is about to kill the father... but we will see if he actually does it... Good catch on JT's comment about two men. Thank you, Olmec Donald! In the F2 seasons, FF4 tends to have more influence rather than less.
