Reminded me of a borneo episode ^_^ also some positive feedback: The consensus opinion seems to be that CBS will stick with its Wednesday 8pm comedy block, but last night, up against Idol a *Survivor: Tocantins* clip show outperformed last week's *Old Christine/Gary Unmarried* hour that ran against Lie to Me rather than Idol. tvbythenumbers.com

From 8-9, Survivor will just be competing with an ER retrospective clip show. Still not an ideal situation, but definitely not as bad as going up against the actual finale.

However I can understand being concerned this week since it's the big finale, and I've already seen reports that the ER episodes from the last few weeks where they've started bringing back all the old characters have delivered the shows highest numbers in years, so it stands to reason that the big finale will do well. But as has been pointed out, the actual finale doesn't start until 9pm. Survivor will only be competing with a retrospective show...basically an ER 'recrap' episode. So it shouldn't be too bad.

This could confirm the rumors that Survivor is returning to the cooks for 20... very exciting!

Temporary Jeff <3 for admitting this. JP: Exile Island is a great example of the show informing us because it was actually born back in our tenth season in Palou when we had this woman Jeaneau and she ended up all alone on this island and she was the least likely person that you would ever think would survive. She didn't know how to make fire, she was afraid, she didn't like the water but she was left on her own and lo and behold she changed her life. She got scrappy and she made fire and it was a huge epiphany for her, this great dramatic moment and that's where that idea was born. Wow, isolating someone on their own is a pretty good breeding ground for drama. But this season we tried something different where we bring opposite tribes together and we got some gold. We got an alliance that's a cross-tribal alliance and nobody really knows about it so it has potential to be really powerful. at that statement. NBC averaged a 9.2 rating/15 share for the night, beating out CBS, 7.4/12, for the top spot. FOX came in third with a 4.9/8. ABC, 3.1/5, took fourth overall, and The CW trailed with a 2.2/3.
