I think America's Tribal Council was a one time thing due to the massive popularity of Rupert. Exactly. I'm not a fan of either of 'em, but it still bothers me that Rupert walked away from "Survivor: All-Stars" having made more money than Amber did - and she won the whole freakin' season!!!

Oh I would've enjoyed it too had somebody other than Rupert gotten the million. All-Stars is to date the only season of the show where once it got past the final 5, I truly did not care whatsoever about who the winner ended up being simply because I hated all 4 of the people in the finals. Every other season I've always had somebody to root for at least up through the final 3. I would've loved it if America had given the million to Colby - that way he would've walked away with more money than any of the final 4 ended up with, and he didn't even make the All-Stars merge! I don't remember, who were the other ATC finalists besides Rupert & Colby?

I guess it doesn't matter since Rupert got somewhere around 85% of the total votes anyway.

First of all, yes, it gave people another chance after they had been voted out. But that's all it gave them. A chance. Rupert got voted out twice and then STILL got a million dollars for doing NOTHING. How is that not more unfair than the outcasts? Plus, think of who are generally considered to be the "victims" of the outcast twist. Assdrew, Osten, Shawn? They all sucked. Burton and Lill brought home the entertainment like there was no tomorrow. Pearl Islands is my second favorite season (after Borneo of course) and that's in large part thanks to the outcast twist. Would I ever want them to do it again? No, but I loved it at the time and I still love it now.

IIRC what happened was Rudy and Tom were in such a close margin that CBS decided that they should "tie" for fourth place, and they just put Big Tom in the F4 cause he did better in the game. Didn't matter though since no one had a shot at beating Rupert. Seriously though, if they pull this shit again in 1/2 ASS, I'm gonna be pissed. Sucks should just have a VFTW-ish thing and have everyone vote for fairplay or something. At least it won't be as rigged for a certain all star though.

I know it messed with the integrity of the game, blah, blah, blah but the fact is the outcast twist is what made that season so wild and unpredictable. If it weren't for it, PI would probably be just your average forgettable season with shudders probably Poopert as the winner. I guess this was a case of the end justifies the means.

After Amanda's plan to oust James, what if she actually turns out to be cesterninoish from here on out, leaves a huge impact on the remianing episodes and it narrowly costs her the win due to some bitter jurors. A bit of a stretch but it would totally make sense that she's on half-ASS.

Originally, the ASS winner was going to get 2 million for winning but they replaced that idea with the ATC. So, if they hadn't done America's Tribal Council, Amber (and Rob, in passing) would have won 2 million dollars.
