should i give out holiday cards to all the workplace people? i kind of think that is maybe just a woman thing? i have received, I think, four workplace
cards--all from women, and all highly religious flavored cards.
do real men give cards? |

Do people expect you to thank them for cards? I'm afraid I don't acknowledge the ones I receive--is that rude?

Same thing happened here. 6 cards, all from women, four of whom I had to seriously stop and try to place a name with a face. Very generic. No, we don't
reciprocate. Not just because we're men, but because the whole practice is a bit silly, if you ask me. I wouldn't have felt left out if I didn't
get one, and I don't feel special because I did...so what's the point?

Goner - I certainly hope not, but one I got actually had a damn lottery ticket in it. One o' them dollar scratcher things. WTF is the etiquette on that
one? Do I only have to track this person down and thank them if I won something? What if it was only two bucks?

One of my underlings sent out e-xmas cards. Fortunately the spam filter blocked them all and I couldnt be bothered to retreive mine. Next time cash value

I've given cards...mainly as pity gifts so some co-workers won't feel left out.
