New reality show that will be airing on TLC in the month leading to the live pageant on January 26th. The show starts on Jan 4th 10/9c and will be following
the ladies all living under one roof (from what I got from the preview). Sounds like a must watch!

I'm curious what kind of effect this will have on who the winner is. For example, if one girl is super sweet and funny, the judges may tend to favor her based on the reality show. Whereas a bitch might not do very well at all. |

Now that Jasmine, our resident pagent expert, said it's the actual Miss America contestants, I believe it. It just seemed too wierd for that to be true.
I agree that Miss USA are the slutty ones & the old ones are Miss America. Miss America contestants are also the horsey ones. |

Mark Steines to host 2008 `Miss America Live!' contest from Las Vegas next month
LAS VEGAS - Mark Steines, co-anchor of "Entertainment Tonight," will host the Miss America contest next year.
TLC will air the "Miss America Live!" show from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 26, TLC and the Miss America Organization announced Monday. The two-hour event is the finale of a four-part reality show designed to prepare the 52 contestants for the competition. "Miss America: Reality Check" premieres Jan. 4. "Given the fact that Mark is married to one of our most beloved Miss Americas, Leanza Cornett, he already offers a great appreciation for the show," said Miss America Organization President Art McMaster in a statement. Sorry I guess I was too impressed with what Miss Vermont was saying at the dinner to hear what was so great what Miss Pennsylvania said. Can someone help me
out? I assume it had something to do with not giving birth control to junior high students or virginity. Those are the only two topics I can remember being
talked about.

I tivo'd it, but on the fence if I want to watch. I kinda like to watch without lots of preconceived notions. And I'm surprised Scree hasn't
started the actual pageant thread yet. There are some fuggos, BUT for once we have a Miss WA that could actually do well. She even looks her age.
