Didn't like Patti's as much as yesterdays either.

Honestly, I am not. impressed. by the Patti-wannabe soloist from Miz Labelle's choir.
But, as a group they sound great. Plus I love that song. |

Patti's choir - has a soloist with a group of backup singers, and the backup singers have their own backup singers. Beautiful job, but still more singers
need to be featured.

I never thought I'd say this in life but I actually liked Carrrie Underwood singing this song better than I liked that vocalist singing this song.

Not really liking Nick's group. The second half is pretty good. Okay. That alternating parts thing didn't work as well as it did with Patti's choir. |

Loved the opening solo from Chris, and despite the clinkers and unintelligible lyrics from the 3rd soloist (the stocky guy), I loved what Blake's choir did
with Streets.
Didn't care for the extended solo in Patti's oddly arranged I'll Stand By You. It was like one of the bad Idol arrangements for awhile. Suddenly the choir kicked in (after all, this is a choir competition), and from the 2/3 mark to the end, I thought Patti's choir blew it out the box. Nick's choir wasn't bad, wasn't great. I think they just confused the hell out of me with that selection. ETA: The basses had a chance to steal the show, but they were just ... adequate.

Why is the host laughing during the elimination?

A bit awkward and inconsiderate to have Rowland and Bolton listening and critiquing the other choirs without knowing their own choir's fate. |

Boltons group did better tonight.

Bolton's Ain't No Mountain features two extended solos, which seems to be tonight's theme. Otherwise,
it's an okay arrangement convincingly delivered. Ryan found a voice!

Why does Bolton keep featuring that one guy. Give someone else a chance. Maybe he intends to sign him to a record deal after the show.
