WOW, I love the Guatemala fanfic! Ive read all the way from the Margaret boot to the Judd boot, and it's awesome! I cant wait to read the rest.

I'm going to answer this question now and hopefully I'll get to PMs later today, for those who are waiting for replies (sorry for the delay)...

I know this is going to sound stupid, and someone has likely asked you this in the past, but who would've been your second choice for winner in each season (at least the ones we've seen)?

I actually don't think I've ever been asked that, so it's a good question. Most of the time the second choice was just the runner-up, but not always:

1) GUATEMALA - When I first started coming up with the story, the Final Two I had in mind was Brooke and Judd, with Brooke winning. But when I started to actually plan it out in full, things shifted a bit and I decided on the Brandon/Lydia Final Two. For this season only (since it was the first), I wasn't fully decided on who was going to win it until maybe about Episode 6. Then I picked Brandon, but Lydia would have been my second choice at that time. Every other winner has been picked way in advance.

2) EXILE ISLAND - Cirie. I know I've said before that part of me wishes Cirie had won this season and I still do think it sometimes. Ruth Marie and Austin wouldn't have been interesting enough as winners, I don't think.

3) COOK ISLANDS - KittyPryde1 is correct. Although I would have loved to had either Jonathan or Candice win this season, my second choice was Jessica (Flica). I know I also considered Sundra for a while too, but I don't think she would have had a story like either JP (challenge threat) or Flica (not knowing the game) would have had if they won.

4) FIJI - Earl was the second choice here, but this one was always going to be Stacy because I wanted someone of her "type" to be the winner rather than another guy. Not much to say for this one.

5) ALL-STARS - This is another one where there wasn't really a second choice. The winner was always going to be Candice since I thought of doing an All-Stars season (even before the final cast was picked and voted on). I suppose I may have considered Jamie for a few brief moments, but no, it was always Candice.

6) CHINA - This is one where I thought about Dave, Erik, and Leslie. I knew I wanted to have Dave be the big villain character but I wasn't sure if he should win because it would seem like it was too staged: the guy who makes up these two big lies happens to be the winner. But I thought Leslie would be best as the underdog who just falls short and Erik (and Frosti) were too boring to be the winner of a season. It would have been hard for me to give them a strong enough winning story, and while I've had them last long into the game, I'm always reluctant to give the bland UTRish guys (or girls) the win in one of my stories.

7) MICRONESIA - This is another instance where it was pretty much Tracy from the start because I wanted to have a Fan win. I know I did briefly consider Brooke winning but it was clear based on the direction that the game was supposed to go that she couldn't win a vote in the end. The Fans tribe was really not that great, in my opinion, so really, they didn't leave me with very many viable choices. Luckily Tracy was a strong one.

8) GABON - Aside from initially considering Bob as the winner (I've still never had an "old" guy win, except for Willard which kindof doesn't count), I chose G.C. the first or second day after the cast was announced and it never changed after that. Naturally I did think "Well, what about Crystal?" since I had been wanting to have an African-American winner. But the only real question in terms of the endgame was whether it would be Dan or Randy in the Final Two with G.C., and having Randy there was far more interesting.
