Now they just edited it straight to where Jon says the corrected statement. EDITING THE SHOW TO MAKE KATE SEEM LESS BITCHY PERHAPS? SCANDALOUS! To edit the show that much would shorten it to 10 minutes if that.

Jon was scraping food out of a bowl with a spoon. Kate comes up with a spatula and tells him that will work better because it covers more surface area. Emeril tells her that Jon is doing just fine and she whacks Emeril's arm with the spatula. She laughed and said "Bam." And it looked and sounded like she really hit him hard. I'm sure Emeril was shocked that she hit him. I read that there was some kind of problem with the filming with Emeril and maybe this is an indication of how the day went.
