So if you didn't already know, the last ditch meetings that were held last night failed, so the writers have officially went on strike. I thought this
would be a good idea to let everyone know how this will be affecting some of our favorite shows we watch. So I've created a list of how various shows are
dealing w/ the issues.
Lost: Returns February of next year, to a shortened 16 episode season. As of now, they have 8 completed scripts/episodes. Don't know if they are going back and making the eighth episodes ending, some sort of a cliffhanger or season ender or not.
Heroes: Have already aired 6 episodes, with the seventh coming tonight. After that they have 4 more left to air. Although they already have episode 12 filmed, and were in the middle of 13 & 14, they are going back and making episode 11, which originally ended the second volume, into a season ender.
The Daily Show & The Colbert Report: Has completely halted production and taken off the air, as the show relies on a written script every day. Both going into reruns.
The Tonight Show, Conan O'Brian, The Late Show, Jimmy Kimmel: All are going into reruns starting tonight.
Moonlight & Cane: Both will have 12 to 13 of their initial order of episodes done. Whether they get a full order of 22 episodes for the season is another matter.
Friday Night Lights: It's expected that 15 of its 22 episodes will be done.
Nip/Tuck: The first 14 episodes, according to the Times, are done, but production has not started on the second cycle of 14.
24: As of now, they have 8 or 9 episodes done, I couldn't find anything more specific.
Greys Anatomy: Has enough scripts/episodes to last them until Christmas. After that, they're done.
