Don't get me wrong, normally if I would get the news that TAR was going to start in a few weeks, I would be hyped that whole time waiting for the premiere.
I'd go into full geek mode when Phil shows up at the top of a building and the theme starts to play. Now, the premiere is less than a day away and I'm
just...not excited for it. Maybe it was Eric and Danielle winning All Stars. Maybe it was the longer wait between seasons. Maybe it's the lack of NELs this
season or maybe I'm just not liking any of the teams that I think will make it far. But for some reason I just don't feel as happy as I normally do
that TAR is about to start. The show really does need to return to the form of Seasons 2, 3, and 5 for it to be really good again and I sooo want to see that
happen. So I guess it depresses me to think that they're going in the wrong direction. Please tell me I'm not just a pessemistic bastard and that
others of you feel the same way.

I'M SO PSYCHED! Mainly because I think that this one's going to be good compared to the last few due to:
a) The cast b) The tasks we've seen c) The race route d) THE CAST! But no, you're not pessemistic and you'll probably change your mind when you see it :) |

What do you like about the cast? I mean yeah, you have your goths (who I predict I will hate on a massive level) some lesbians and old people and a bunch of
mactor couples. Bleh.

This is easily the best cast in a long time. TAR10's sucked and the only teams I pre-liked got eliminated in Episodes 2 and 3. TAR11 was marred by notable
omissions (Ken/Gerard
 ). Most people were jazzed on the TAR9 cast before the season started, but having the Final 7 be "couples and alpha males"
(with the two more unique couples out 7th and 6th) hurt it a little.

I have a feeling this season will somehow live up to the hype. Maybe some mactors will actually fall out in the early legs.

Oh, I absolutely appreciate all the work that goes into the show. It has deserved all the Emmys it has won. I'll go into tonight with an open mind and
hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm psyched!!
1. No alpha males or Romber. 2. FOUR family teams. 3. One of the bickering mactor teams actually looks fun. 4. No male buddy comic relief team, so the leg 1 elimination is anyone's guess. 5. Broken donkeys. Naturally, the boring hippie couple and Hayden/Aaron v. 2.0 are virtually guaranteed spots in the final three, but hopefully everyone else will be fun along the way. |

I'm NOT excited about AR either.
Why don't they just get all the grannies and females to race...that would guarantee a weak team winning this shit! No alpha, No me watching this shit. I'll watch when AR starts to be fare and brings back ALL TYPE OF PEOPLE back. |

Not hyped yet, but I'll probably get hyped as soon as I see the awesome season opener with Phil and the teams.
I'll be hooked by the time Phil says "GO!" and does his lean back as the teams run to their clues. |

At this point I'm just hoping the course doesn't suck horribly and the cast doesn't act like poorly scripted sitcom characters.
