Angered after becoming a victim of the game's twist, Aaron gives his final words.
"You know what? I didn't know, I had no idea I would be the one going home tonight. I thought it would be James over me, even all the way up to Tribal Council when they said the biggest threat could be an immunity hog. Now that's kind of a feather in my cap, but it's kind of a moot point, because I'd still rather be there on that island with those people, even though I don't like them anymore (laughs) than to be here talking about it, so..."

"Well, everybody, they say being in the position of a leader in this game is pretty treacherous, and it proved to be once again. I just want to say hello to James, and I really want you to get out there and really really, really go far. I had a great time stepping out into battle with you and agreeing that if you win, you don't go home. You win, you don't go home. We had three ways you could get out of this, be a casualty of this game. That's your personality, your performance, and also the game itself. I don't know what's gonna happen to you, buddy, but I was a victim of the game tonight. I had a great time, it was hard out there, I hope you go far, and I wish well to everybody else out there too. Thanks a lot."
Frosti on His New Tribe
What does the tribe switch do to Frosti's strategy? Does he now have a target on his back?
"Essentially, Fei Long traded Aaron and James for Sherea and myself. I don't know how they feel about that trade. Hopefully they don't mind it too much and they don't just shoot me off right away. Only time's gonna tell, I'm still trying to figure out how things work here. I just have to make sure I'm not the first one off."

"I had made a joke to Sherea earlier that it would be hilarious if we saw James and Aaron floating by the other way just as befuddled as we were in this situation. And we did! There was James spouting some nonsense, yelling, and Aaron throwing his little smile. It was just basically both of us knowing both of our groups were going in tough positions. Aaron and James were going in a tough spot at Zhan Hu, and Sherea and I are going in a tough spot at Fei Long. All of us are warriors, we're going to do our best to fight it out and make our way. In the end that's what this game is about. It's just a battle to get to the finish."

"It's pretty interesting, and I love that about this game. You get to meet new people, and you gotta find a way to work with anyone. It's been pretty cool. I think this whole experience is pretty amazing. Being stuck in an even stranger position than the original one I was in, and still trying to find my way, just overcome any of the obstacles that stand before me."

"The moment I stepped on Fei Long's beach, I was trying to figure everyone out, figure out where my place would be in this tribe, the second I stepped on Zhan Hu beach. Todd seemed to be essentially what everyone thought. He's a Survivor geek, he loves it, he knows what's going on. He can pretty much predict the next challenges or switches like the weather. He just knows it. He's really fun, real smart, and someone I can see myself really getting along with, which is kind of what I expected. Courtney is also similar to things I've heard. She makes her jokes, she rolls her eyes, but she's sweet on the inside and really nice. Denise is upfront about everything, and a lot nicer to me than I would have thought, but really hard on Jean-Robert. That was interesting. What I've heard from other people in the tribe, she doesn't mess around with strategy or gameplay, she just plays it straight up, wants to win, wants to build her kids a park, but she's really nice, really cool. Amanda, same as I would have expected, just quiet, nice, but I've been getting along with her really well because she's so open. We both have lived in Chicago, and she's got a really interesting past. We've been getting along pretty well. Jean-Robert is essentially like Fei Long's Dave. He's out there, trying to lead, talking himself up..."

"If my new tribe sees me as helpful around camp and possibly helpful in the next few challenges, maybe they'll keep me around longer. If they're thinking about a possible merge, maybe they're thinking about getting rid of me sooner because they see me as a threat. Either way, there's a reason they brought both of us over here. They saw something is us they thought would help them. I'm hoping that we can help them, unless they just wanted to vote us off anyway and that's their plan all along, which would suck. Straight up, there's nothing to it, that would suck."
(cut)
"I consider the possibility that Fei Long might pull me. It's real easy to see why they picked Sherea. The girls all see that she's like the strongest girl, the biggest, she also worked our puzzles so they know that she's smart. Me, they saw that I was athletic from a few of the challenges. The first one where I raced James, James I guess made a big fuss about it, also I picked up the slack when Dave fell in the battering ram challenge and knocked out the wood challenge. They saw I was athletic and I think they just couldn't tell who was gonna be, me or Erik. I guess they chose me, which I suppose is some sort of compliment. Not what I really would have liked (smiles nervously), but..."

"There's a lot of pressure to fill the role of the strongest worker and their fearless leader. It's interesting how they're reacting because some people seem to feel that it's better off without the tension that was there. Some people are wanting to step up to leadership, I'm sure. Things are really changing here at Fei Long, and it's not what anyone would have expected. It's not what I expected. I just want to make it through the day."

"I think I had a pretty good idea of how it was gonna be and how things would fit in. Now I just need to figure out how I'm gonna fit in."
Tribal Council
Erik (Aaron): Sorry for the confusion, sorry for the lies. Today was a big mess, but I have to go with my two girls. That's all I've got in this game. I hope you understand.
Aaron (James): I wish I was sending all three of those home. It was good to do battle with you, boy.
Peih-Gee (Aaron with sad face): Aaron, this is purely strategic. I have a ton of respect for you. You're a true warrior in this game.
James ("P.G"): Because I stick with my original teammates. That's all I'm going with.
Jaime (Aaron): As you could say, we're frenemies (?).
Aaron, the Day After

"I don't think that Peih-Gee and Jaime have that much of a heart to worry about how hard I tried. In this game it's so difficult, you have to keep your emotions in check, you have to keep people you like in check. It's simply a game of numbers."
(cut)
"In the switch, I certainly wasn't appreciated by the new tribe, Zhan Hu. Zhan Hu had numbers and they played a strategy game and they took me out. They saw me more as a threat than they ever did as an advantage."
(cut)
"It makes it a lot easier to be seen as a threat, to be seen as being targeted, someone who would be effective down the line. When Peih-Gee said that at Tribal Council, when Peih-Gee said they were going to take out the most effective threat later on down the line, I thought it was going to be James, all the way to the bank. To me he would be the immunity hog, he would be able to be the immunity hog if it goes to the individual challenges. When the votes came back and it was me, yeah I had a feather in my cap, but I certainly would want it to be the other way around."
(cut)
"At that moment when you go up and you look Jeff in the eyes and he's saying, 'Yeah, that's it, your light is extinguished, you're done,' it's hard, it's surreal, it's hard to come to terms with. You think about how exactly did I get here. In this very split-second. Your thoughts turn to anger and hatred for the people that voted you out. It takes a long time for you to reflect upon it and realize they were just simply playing a game and it's like no other game."
(cut)
"The hardest part of the game for me was trying to wear too many hats, trying to please too many people, not jumping down enough people's throats. Trying to play that middle high ground to where you can get into the later rounds with your friends. When I became leader it was very difficult because not a lot of people were pulling their weight, not a lot of people knew exactly what to do. Then I found fault in myself that if these people don't know what to do, and I know a little bit, I can at least teach them, and I won't have to worry about starting fires any longer. I can be the leader rather than wear two hats and stress myself out and wear myself down and be a target in the same way, so, yeah."

"Playing the game of Survivor is a lot like surfing in that you've chosen this kind of amazing undertaking to do, to learn something, to put yourself in an element that you're not really used to. One you're in the water and two you're in just survival mode. The highs and the lows that come about in both Survivor and surfing, you catch that wave, and you realize after having such a bad day, let's say you had the worst day ever, but you catch that one last wave and you pup up out of the water like, 'Yeah! I am a surfer and I remember how to do this, and I feel really good.' There are days in Survivor where you're like, 'This isn't going right, I don't feel good,' but then the next day the challenge comes and you're the one who wins it for your tribe. You're on that high and you realize, 'This is the reason I signed up for it.'"
(cut)
"Yeah, I paddled into quite a few waves that I wish I wouldn't have. I've gone over plenty of the falls and I take my share of wipeouts."
(cut)
"I pushed myself for fifteen days and it was really hard. No food and no water. That was really an intriguing, appealing thing for me to do to see how people survive like that and what exactly is gonna happen to you when you actually go through it. To actually have a crew of people who make these amazing challenges and I get to partake and feel like this warrior, this Swiss Family Robinson kind of crusade, was just amazing, and cool."
Secret Scene: Aaron
Conflict emerges during a meal as Aaron's leadership skills come into question.
Aaron: How do you guys wanna do it? Just cook it all together? Where's the cabbage? Did you guys cut that up?
Amanda: I'll cut the cabbage.
Aaron: So what's in the pot? (they say "water") OK, and we're doing fish. Todd, you wanna start putting fish in there?
(random shots of Courtney and James staring at what is going on)
Aaron (hovering over the pot): Try and get as much water off as possible, cause it's gonna spray like that, OK?
James (solo): Aaron, he has a smug arrogance about him, but he don't do nothing. He's charming, that's his thing, but he don't do nothing. He's starting to get on my nerves.
James: You think you've done so much in this group to where...you're just the king!
Aaron: I didn't ask to be a leader and I'm not the leader, so don't put me on that high horse!
James: You are the worst leader ever.
Aaron: Yeah? OK. Well, you be the leader. You do such a good job, you be the leader.
James: You suck. You're about yourself.
Aaron: Then you be the leader now!
James: Are you or are you not about yourself?
(random shots of Denise and Todd staring awkwardly)
Aaron: No. I'm about the team.
James: You could give a damn about the team. It's just about Aaron. He has the master plan to have pulled all this shit together and we'd be lost without you, huh?
Aaron: Yeah.
