Frosti and Denise were going to vote for Courtney for their own personal reasons no matter what, but the rest of them were obviously undecided and wanted to size up Todd and Amanda to figure out who would step up. Much to my dismay, Todd did, Amanda choked and it all boiled down to that crucial moment. But despite getting only one vote, it was clear that Amanda didn't get the Becky/Cassandra treatement. People weren't there to ingore her or rip her apart, they really wanted to hear her sell her game and she failed to do so.

They may have wanted misdirection, but the misdirection came at the expense of the season, because they ended up obscuring one of the big reasons Todd won (his social game). There were always those hints there of why Amanda would lose, but since Todd, overall, played a good game, it would have been good to have seen more of why he won, instead of the edit being more about that cocky guy who somehow manages to win. They wanted us to think he was some major asshole. I guess they wanted their gotcha win. It worked, but I think if they had given Todd a more multi-layered edit, then the finale would have been even better. Yes, Todd was smug and deluded and made some catty comments in confessionals, but he was obviously a lot more than that, and viewers did not get the opportunity to see more sides. I also don't know why they needed to include the scenes about the miscarriage, which added an extremely vile undertone and then were never even brought up again. I think some genius must have decided this was brilliant TV and would be a surefire moment to dredge up at the reunion, and then when they actually saw the reaction to putting that trash on TV, they changed their minds. Christ, that confessional where Amanda slathered praise on Denise made me want to puke, as she had just been calling her a puppet in the previous ep.

I always thought Amanda was a footnote in S15. She was never the focus save for the James boot episode. She and Todd had a tight alliance, but Todd got all the attention and all the confessionals. She was under the radar, practically invisible for several episodes, including one after the merge. I was always shocked Amanda was such a popular pick. To me, they injected quite a bit of doubt at the end, but when there are 5 episodes left, it becomes difficult to continue ignoring a character. She was edited down because if she got more screen time, it may have become apparent how isolated she was from the rest of the tribe and how unclear she was in expressing her thoughts. I don't know if I could have stood it had Amanda been the winner. But her horrible TC where she was all over the place, much like she was all season, doomed her. She even lost to plain-talking, brutally honest Courtney. Thank god. Best final 2 possible.

However i think both JR and Jamie came in voting Courtney and changed to Todd while Courtney i think did an excellent display at the final TC aside from Jamie's question. If you noticed in Court's opening speech when she started every was rolling there eyes and by the end that all stopped [of course editing but whatev.] Todd just did a little better. LOL Amanda sucked, how was she ever a beauty queen after answering questions like that!

In fact, she had at least 6 boots wrong on her "bootlist". Dumb bitch even tried to claim that she had Amanda picked as the winner all season long even though she said that she hadn't picked a winner out of the top 3 when Bluto came out and said Amanda in Oct.. Now she is a classic case of having a little bit of info and making a lot of guesses so you can get attention.
