Oh my dear lord.
The show just started on the west coast, and im fucking speechless. Jesus christ, so far the first 10 minutes have been a huge trainwreck. I feel sorry for everyone involved at the moment. Im not gonna lie, I actually felt horrible for Mrs. Britney Spears. She didnt want to be up there. Towards the end she looked like she was gonna cry. Sarah Silverman was HORRIBLE. I can't even begin to imagine how awkward she felt. I even felt a smigeon of pity for Paris Hilton. Being called out by SS must have been extremely uncomfortable considering everything SS said LAST time! Let's see how the rest of this trainwreck goes... |

Having rewatched, it honestly isn't THAT bad. I think everybody (myself included) was going in expecting a showstopping performance, unbelievable
theatrics, and Britney circa 2003. I was so disappointed to see it fail dramatically in each of those categories. But watching it again and expecting it to be
a complete and total trianwreck, it was okay. She could've done worse.

Honestly Moo, it would have been quite difficult for her to do worse. She completely effed it up. Hardcore. Her lips werent even MOVING half the time.. She
needs to pull a Demi Moore (for completely different reasons) and just disappear for at least 2 years, then (hopefully) come back hotter than ever.

I know shes in her mind still thinks shes the same girl from 5 years ago, and can wear it...but damn can't SOMEONE in relation with her tell her NO LOL i shut the tv off through half the preformance, i felt embarressed to watch...i feel bad, i really liked her new single too, sucky dissapointment |

I'm not saying it was good. Just go look back at some tabloids. Look at what a hot mess she was a year ago. A month ago. A week ago. Then compare to this.
It's progress. The VMA's are hardly the time for progress when the world expects perfection, but still.
She'll be fine as long as she stays in a hole or something. As long as the supply of Britney is low, the demand will always be there. I'm sure tonight's ratings will have a tremendous drop after the first half hour. |

Brit looked good but the performance was lackluster. There was no reason for her to wear that bikini except to wear a bikini. She should have wore a club type
dress to go with the theme of the song.
She could have done better. It wasn't total crap. Let's face it. People were going to hate it and call her a failure no matter what. Everyone hates her now because she didn't do what they wanted her to with her life. |

I disagree- Britney made some of the best music videos and she had some memorable performances on stage.You do realize that there are people who tell her how to dance... and there are other people who made those videos and told her what to do... and there are other people who wrote her songs... and other people who manipulated her voice in a computer to make it sound good... All she really had was her personality and her body.
