I agree. This is the best travel show ever produced.
Megan McCormick <3 Justine Shapiro <3 Ian Wright <3 I honestly cannot pick one favourite. I love all three hosts. |

I have to agree. If I ever travel, it's because I watched this show.

Wasn't Bradley Cooper one of the hosts? before he made it onto Alias?

For europe, I like Samantha Brown's shows better.
But yeah, Globe Trekker rocks. |

Passport to Europe is more of a dream vacation kind of thing though! I fucking love this show but sadly, just like all educational programs, 5 minutes after an episode ends, I really don't retain much. I mean if I saw an
episode on a certain country and then someone brought that country up, I prob. wouldn't be able to remember much - not so much b/c I can't recall the
scenes but more like I can't remember the names of cities or which clips in my mind go to which countries.
Anyway - LOVE Justine Shapiro hands down the best and then 2nd would be Ian Wright who can be funny sometimes. Megan is just alright for me but still a lot better than the other couple of guides that usually I pass on if they are hosting. Nothing can ever beat Justine in that blue bikini/headress thing dancing in that parade in whatever country. If you saw it, then you know what I am talking about.

That was probably the St.Lucia/Dominican Republic episode? Or one of the Caribbean countries. |

That was the Trini Carnival that Justine in full on drag regalia was
grinding her ass on!
I have the entire series on DVD........been watching it since I was 10 and bitten with the travel bug. Every once in a while I like to pop it in, light up a spliff, chill over the downtempo trax and have a good laugh at Ian. Anyone watch the Canadian rip Dont Forget Your Passport? No surprise the production is shit. The ultimate travel show is the filthy raunch that is Sin Cities with Ashley Hames. I gotta give dude props for having his balls nailed to a plank of wood by a fat ugly domme in some dingy suburbian basement

Enjoy this series too, especially Ian Wright. The best episodes are the ones where Ian visits former Communist/Soviet countries.

Ian's a polarizing figure in my house. I think he's funny, but his voice drives my husband nuts.
Hubby doesn't seem bothered by Megan or Justine, though. Hmm... |

I want to find a girlfriend that has Megan's personality. <3
Seriously, being a host of a travel show is clearly one of the best jobs in the world.
I'm so-so on that one. One time they had a boring 25 year old guy and in another episode, they had a 50-year old grandfather-type host. I find it, inconsistent? I think they only have a one-time host for every country that they visit. |

The 25 year old fratguy is a tool. He'd be in an ancient temple or witness an awesome world wonder but wouldnt have anything cool to say. The only time ive seen him pumped up was after being served Guiness at a pub, at a brewery sampling, and Oktoberfest. Ive never seen an epi w/ the old dude. I always catch the Kiwi or Aussie fella who always wears tank tops with micro shorts or supertight crotch hugging
jeans……… |

I have loved this show for a long time! Megan, Justine, Zay and Ian are all great. The others... not so much. I like that they make it affordable but still
fun. The best episode was the strange foods from around the world! Laughed so hard when Ian ate elk poo with blubber and nearly vomited!

Ian is the best, the women are terrible! I'd be embarrassed to travel with them.
And, I have traveled a lot, and have been to most of the places they have gone. More Ian, less of the nitwits. |

For those who love the show and believe this is a great job, I hear they are hiring several new GT hosts. I would love... love to work for them.
Megan is great and so is Ian, but Justine doesn't fair to well in remote locations. I adore their latest host Sami Sabiti. He did an excellant job when they returned to South Africa.
