"24" Season 4 starts ticking away on Sunday January 9th in a 2-hour event. A third new hour airs the next night, on Monday, January 10th. I can hardly wait.

I'm sure I'll watch because it's on the same station as American Idol, but it's hard to get excited about the season when pretty mucy all the supporting cast except for Chloe is gone. (Even though Chloe did rock) I'm glad Chase and Kim are gone, but I'll miss everyone else.

They ditched the supporting cast? Tony? His Wife? That bitchy secretary? and Kim? You are joking, right?
God, season 3 sucked major ass, but Jack was annoying as all hell last season too, he better went through some sort of re-tooling, or I aint watching. And Mrs. Palmer better return in some way, even if she is dead. She was too good of a villian to just kill off. |

Unfortunately not. Tony, Michelle, President Palmer and his Brother, Kim and Chase, and Adam are all off of the "main cast" list for Season 3. I guess they could return in guest spots/recurring roles though. Season 3 takes place outside of CTU, although I don't know how Chloe is involved in the story.
I hope they know what they are doing. Last season Michelle helped make the season. I was somewhat bored with both of the main storylines until Nina and Mrs. Palmer showed up. |

So who does that leave us to are about, hate, bitch about. love? Just Jack? Sorry, but President Palmer was one of the biggest reasons to watch. As was Michelle. This season could suck.
Any chance they are bringing back blondie from Season 3? |

I heard that Aisha Tyler is joining the main cast for Season 4. Don't really know what to think about that.

Hmmmm... I was really excited about this new season until I just read what you all are saying about it just being Keifer back with a new bunch of nobody's. One man show - but the one man needs a little help. No way is he the one that carried the show last season.

Jack no longer works for CTU, but CTU will still be involved in this season, and Jack will quickly find his way back into the CTU Offices (whether he'll work with or against them, who knows), so thats how Chloe returns to the story, but I've ehard that she won't be around for too long.

If you purchase the Season 3 DVD collection there is a 30 minute segment which fills in the blanks between last season and this. Explains the personnel changes at CTU and Jack's new relationship.

I just got season 3 on DVD as a Christmas present and I feel awful. Season 3 sucked so much, I had no intentions of buying the set.
You can imagine my horror when I tore the gift wrap to shreds and discovered Keifer Sutherland's mug on the box! Of course, I had to feign joy, but meh--season 3 sucked. Damn the writers for making season 3 suck; I would have loved this gift otherwise. Said writers better have some good stuff ready for season 4! |

Ya know, I've always disliked the official 24 website. Too much real-life non-fiction facts and doodads for my liking. When I come to a TV show's official website, I want pictures, wallpapers, videos, and lots of TV-related stuff--not storyline inspired bullcrap about heroin withdrawals. I also hate websites that are made with Flash/Shockwave. Whatever happened to good old HTML?
As for the season 3 DVD? I take back what I said. It's worth it for that season 4 promo in which Jack says, "I can find my own f*ckin' job, Erin."  That caught me off guard; such a shame they don't allow cuss words on network TV...Erin reminds me too much of Palmer's girlfriend Anne from last season. I got my dad in to Season 1. We've made it to like episode 7. I don't see him actually caring about seasons 2 and 3 though...but I'm not about to tell him to watch Season 4. I may have to buy Season 4 and fill him in on 2 &3 however lackluster they may be.

Just thought I'd give a heads up to those of you with netflix, etc. There is a promotional DVD available that contains the first 24 minutes of the first episode. It's also available for download through a torrent site. I'm not sure if it's cool if I post that link here or not, so for now I'll err on the side of caution and ask that those of you who want the link to the site PM me and I'll send it along...
