Play-By-Play
Erik is referenced by Mikey B in the opening scene as a "kid."
Erik is seen applying war paint to his face, along with the rest of his tribe.
In the Reward Challenge, Erik is given credit for stealing a bag from the Favorites, and then pulling Eliza along with him.
Erik hits Eliza in the head with the sand bag to shake her off, which visibly stuns her. Probst makes no comment about this.
Erik throws Amanda over his head while wrestling her, which causes James to charge after him.
Erik is shown covered in sand, along with the rest of his tribe, as Alexis describes Airai as demoralized after the storm.

General, Non-Ratings Thoughts
Clearly this was not Erik's episode to shine. Much like in the previous episode, he appears to have been purposefully ignored, not being featured in the IC whatsoever. Maybe he just didn't have the visible struggling that Tracy had, or maybe he's being hidden from us. After all, right now, we're getting nothing but distraction on every front, and if all of that nonsense ends up being meaningless noise, it's not really necessary to incorporate the winner into any of those story lines.
His material at the Reward Challenge was interesting, but I think it would have been included no matter what, simply because it made for good T.V. You're not going to see the editors cutting a player flipping someone over their head, no matter who it is doing the flipping.

Rating: INV
Erik meant nothing to the story of this episode. He played no part in any element of the edit. The only role he served was a minor one in the first challenge, but even then, he wasn't the primary focus and none of it really advanced his character. Just made the challenge more intense.

Visibility: 1
All of Erik's material came within the span of about a minute during the RC. Not enough to allow any viewer to remember him.

Tone: Neutral
You can't have tone when you don't leave an impression. Erik wasn't on screen enough to leave an impression, so he wasn't on screen enough to have any tone.

Winning Chances: Hard to say
Erik's hurting for some good material right now. We need a reminder of who he is and why he's here, because he's fading away really quickly. Anything that can connect him to a long-term theme or give us some characterization would go a long way towards helping his chances of winning. At this point, he could fade away into obscurity and prove himself to be a pretty minor character in the bigger picture. Or he could step up (very soon) and tell the viewers what Erik's bringing to the table. The next episode or two is going to make or break his edit. Until then, he's right on the line between victory and certain death.
