FEI LONG
Aaron
- UTR2. I really wish we'd gotten a confessional from him regarding Jean-Robert's work ethic, because his smile could've been manipulated easily. Other than Jean-Robert and being the 'leader' he doesn't have much part in the story.
Amanda - UTR2. Practically everything she says is fluff, and she doesn't get to say it that often. I like her but I'm still not seeing what all the hubbub is about. Arguable P.
Courtney - MOR2. She didn't get much more airtime than Aaron and Amanda, but her early scene continuing the feud with JR was at least memorable.
Denise - MORP3. She speaks!
James - MORN2. Not quite as negative as last week, and strangely enough, the guy who caused him to be negative last week caused him to be negative this week for completely different reasons! The scene in the premiere sticks out like a sore thumb against these past two episodes for James.
Jean-Robert - MORP3. I think the early scene with Courtney wasn't really negative for either--he came off as overbearing, but he did have good intentions. The Mandarin scene was very interesting and positive--kind of reminds me of Robb from Thailand, where he came out positively in the fourth episode after a negative start. Also, the intent was that his strategy--now in phase 2--is working.
Todd - MOR3. Kind of had to be shown, but not really complex.

ZHAN HU
Dave
- OTTM5. I agree with JaMalle and GF--he came across as annoying, yes, but at the same time, logical. I definitely think most viewers were on his side through the whole thing, but there were valid reasons to see him leave.
Erik - MOR3. This might be one of the best examples of a MOR edit ever. He was...just there, really. Didn't say or do anything of note, but he wasn't hidden in the background either.
Frosti - MOR3. I think he was a little more involved with the story than Erik--particularly his conversation with Dave about how the tribe saw him, but again, little of substance.
Peih-Gee - UTR2. She's still in it, but I really wish she'd get a big positive episode to stay alive.
Sherea - OTTN4. Insert Staples "That was easy" button here.

JAIME DUGAN
UTR2

Sigh...and she vanishes again. Jaime played a background role in the strategy, with one confessional that didn't say much except that Dave and Sherea were the two options to get the boot (which was pretty obvious). Fortunately it looks like she'll get some airtime next week.

ETA:
I mean isn't Erik's edit highly highly similar to Ethan's? Low-Key, boring, but seemingly nice guy edit.
If Ethan could win Survivor, Erik definitely could too.

This is a myth that always bothers me--Ethan is way more involved in the storyline of Africa than a lot of viewers make him out to be. Personality-wise, they're similar--you're right, low-key nice guys. But Erik isn't tied into anything significant or long-term the way Ethan was. He may have been branded as a Lex follower who lucked into a spot as a Boran Boy but he's a much bigger part of the story than his legacy suggests.
