FEI LONG
Aaron: MOR2. A drop from last week but he was still shown in scenes that were likely memorable to the casual viewer. I know nobody wants to see another young alpha male win this game yet again, but I wouldn't count him out just yet. Besides, he's already had almost as much development in two episodes as Earl had in all of Fiji.
Amanda: MORP3. I understand the CP votes--we did get some insight to her as to why she and Todd aligned and pulled in Aaron. But I don't know, her reasons just felt too standard for CP. "My mom is going to kill me!" was too cute not to earn a P, as well as a spot for Amanda on my desktop (surely someone has a software that can get rid of that damn blur...)
Courtney: MOR2. As much as I love Amanda now, Courtney's still my favorite. She played the role of the witty narrator this time, so I'm hoping for a more complex edit next week.
Denise: INV.
James: UTR1. I'm not gonna fight INV, but going down the list of contestants right after the episode and trying to think of moments for each of them from the ep, I did remember James deciding that Todd was sitting out and Jeff mentioning it, whereas I didn't remember Erik's lengthy confessional at the beginning...that says something.
Jean-Robert: CPN3. The N is evident, and even though I understand why some people think that his argument with Aaron detracts from him being CP, I kind of took that as a relation/extension of his earlier comments about his strategy. They're definitely crafting this guy.
Leslie: CP3. She'd be MOR if she hadn't shared the clue with Todd. I don't think she was set up either positively or negatively here, despite her 'gift from God' being due to her status as the weak link and sharing the clue with Todd being shown as a strategic blunder.
Todd: CP4. Everybody wants to align with this guy--despite the fact that they all consider him shady. If that's not complex I don't know what is.
ZHAN HU
Ashley: MORN4. I'm surprised that so many people seem to think that Dave was more negative. He was negative, definitely, but he was also proven right about the rock pit, and we didn't actually see Ashley do anything besides complain about him...she didn't even go out of her way to strategize at all.
Dave: OTTN5. But as I said, Dave was negative. His entire story this week (hell, Zhan Hu's entire story this week) was the feud between him and Ashley, and even though he was right about the rock pit, the editors went out of their way to make both Dave and Ashley look like fools.
Erik: MOR2. I debated between MOR and UTR but eventually decided that his early narration was enough to bump him into MOR territory, even though it made practically no impression on me.
Frosti: UTRP1. Like GF pointed out, I think a P wouldn't be out of line since we heard Dave thank him for stepping up after the challenge--a completely unnecessary line that didn't need to be there and didn't have anything to do with the remainder of the ep.
Peih-Gee: UTR1. She was such a huge character in the premiere that I was shocked that she got so little focus this week...but then again, that's how it was back in the good old days anyway. Shown as Dave's second-in-command; the Shii Ann vibes I had last week have dwindled.
Sherea: MOR2. Just like last week, some brief complaining about the conditions...and then she comes out of nowhere at TC and gets sassy. Kind of reminds me of Judd's early edit. I still think she's too miserable to last much longer.
JAIME WATCHDOG REPORT
MOR4
I do see the logic behind the CP ratings, definitely. But I think what some people are calling insight is merely narration or things that had to be shown due to the kidnapping twist. After all, in Zhan Hu (this week and in the premiere) she didn't get a whole lot of focus. In fact, without the kidnapping, she would easily be the most ignored member of that tribe. I really think the bulk of her airtime was devoted to giving away the idol, which doesn't necessarily make her MOR, but we didn't get any inner struggle, 'Who should I give it to?' or any of that. Yes, she explained her reasoning for giving it to Leslie, but it didn't give us any insight into Jaime as a person or into her strategy.
Aaron: MOR2. A drop from last week but he was still shown in scenes that were likely memorable to the casual viewer.
