PEIH-GEE LAW WATCHDOG REPORT
Episode One- "A Chicken's a Little Big Smarter"

From the start of the episode, Peih-Gee was a prominent character. Right off the bat we hear her insight as she has the second confessional and reflects on the Buddhist ceremony and reveals a personal tidbit. "Being Chinese, it's so amazing coming to do Survivor in China. My grandfather passed away like a couple weeks ago and he would have just gotten such a kick out of seeing me here, you know?" This is clearly a positive and insightful moment for Peih-Gee.
Later on, Peih-Gee starts becoming skeptical of her tribe. She is shown watching her tribe as they dance around and good off. She then comments to Frosti that they're on the lazy tribe that is all about having fun. "I'm on the lazy tribe, just seeing like half of the people want to just stand around and talk about just the most ridiculous stuff I've ever heard. I can't connect to the wackiness out here, like I mean I'd probably do it home, but I just I feel like so serious." I don't really consider this negative or positive, actually. Her concern seems to be merited as the tribe is clearly shown goofing off while work should be done, however, it could be viewed as her being a party pooper as well. Her facial reactions say alot as she watches her tribemates. Until the Immunity Challenge, the only other time we see Peih-Gee is asking Chicken for his opinion, which emphasizes his character flaw.
After the loss of the challenge, Peih-Gee is shown crying at camp, being consoled by Dave. She expresses her concerns to the tribe about needing to get things done, especially the shelter. "We're not going to win any challenges if we don't have a decent shelter. It is hard out here, moreso than I ever imagined, and I'm trying to get through without being down about it." She is then shown leading the building process and gets quickly irritated with Chicken's lack of a stance. "Chicken won't give an opinion on how he thinks anything should be done, it's not worth anything to me if he chooses not to apply his strength." This is both emphasizing Chicken's flaws and Peih-Gee's ability to see weaknesses in people. She is given some negative SPV from Ashley in a confessional, and from Sherea, stating she is bossy, although neither are completely positive characters. She's discussed and edited as a possible boot candidate. This entire scene before Tribal Council isn't completely negative, as we have seen that her concern is warranted, and there is a need for leadership.
At Tribal Council, she comments on the difficult of camp life, and the need for a shelter to be constructed, and states that she thought it would be easier. When JP asks who is willing to lead, she raises her hand after Dave, and a prominent sound is made. Later, she states that she doesn't want to be bossy, but a leader does need to be established. Another prominent sound is made when she expresses joy for their tribe finally deciding that a leader is needed. When voting, she comments on her vote, saying that Chicken lives up to his nickname because he's afraid to express an opinion on anything, and notes that it hurts the tribe, which is supposed to be the view of the audience as well.
There was both good and bad in Peih-Gee's edit, mostly good however. She was clearly a CP due to the way she was feeling and her expressing her opinions on what was going on at Zhan Hu. She was M because there were both negative and positive moments in her edit. She could be either a 4 or 5 in visibility. She was one of the most prominent people (most likely top three), but I think a 4 fits best because she wasn't shoved in our faces.
Alot of people see Sylvia in her edit, but I disagree. I think she could become quite the character because of the depth we're already seeing in her. While Sylvia was labelled as bossy and people constantly had confessionals discussing how annoying she was, Peih-Gee was the one commenting in most cases, and her tribe is made to look foolish in comparison to her. I think she's in it for the long haul, and I think she's got a decent shot.
