.......Is This How You Would Edit the Winner?.....


The Hike to the Top of the Hill...

It starts with Dreamz, saying to Earl......

Then Dreamz introduces himself......
"Well, my name is Andre, but on this beach, I just go by Dreamz. [break] I came up with the name Dreamz a long time ago. It was more of a name of 'strive' and 'achievement'."

Dreamz is the only one to speak on the hike...

At the top, Earl says, "Now, I'm glad we came up here!...Now, look at this!"...

Earl says it's natural to want to look around your new home...
........................... "...and this is our new house!".......
...He then announces to the group..."I'm the King of Fiji...of an unnamed island!"

Stacy says, "Okay, Earl, I'll be tha Queen!"
And, of course, Dreamz says, "I don't know. I'm standin tha highest!"......

Later we see Dreamz the jokester...
The "Lucy" scene shows Dreamz teasing and Stacy laughing along with him...
..................

Later we see Dreamz goofing around again......"I want to thank my people...for gettin me coconut!..."

Just before nightfall we get Dreamz' big homeless story...
"Back as a child, I was pretty much homeless. By the age of 7 I was out of a house and stayed in the back of a soup kitchen. And then goin in tha trash cans and gettin tha food [break] ...and it's... it's kinda like what's goin on right now. [break] The only thing you had to worry about was when it rained or when you can't find no more food. [break] I love it. I wish I could bring my family from home here."

Night falls and we have Dreamz talking loudly in the shelter...
..."What kinda name is Dreamz?!". Dreamz, "Who said that?! Is that a Chinese person who said that!?"...We see Stacy, Earl, and others laughing at Dreamz' goofing.
............
Cut to another Dreamz conf........"My thing is to be playful and play too much, just to make sure they notice that I'm present! So they know that my presense is there!"

The goofing around continues...

Dreamz, "What kinda name is Earl?!"
unknown woman, "Dreamz?! Is it really Dreamz?!" (giggle)

unknown man, "What kinda name is Dreamz?!"
Dreamz, "Who said that!? Who back there said that?!"

Until Rocky gets annoyed...

Rocky's conf......
"Dreamz kinda came outta nowhere late while we're trying to sleep. He started...he was just goin off on little rants like every 15 to 20 minutes...!"

Then we see Dreamz go too far and the whole scene changes...

Dreamz, "Where are all the white people here?!".......
Michelle, "What?!"........
Dreamz, "If you're white, raise your hand!"....Earl gives a "WTF!?" gesture...
And we see a tired and annoyed Cassandra........

Dreamz goes after Rocky...
Dreamz, "Rocky! What color are you, man?! What's your nationality?!"
Rocky, "I'm Italian, Irish, and Spanish."
Dreamz, starts goofing on the "Rocky" accent.

Rocky conf again......
"Just yellin about nonsense. And I'm exhausted! I don't know if the island's gettin to him, but it's gettin a little irritating."

Rocky and Dreamz argue.........

Rocky tells Dreamz he needs to sleep and doesn't need all of Dreamz' noise.

Dreamz yells, "I've not yelled at anybody here!"...and we see people being disturbed...
Cassandra, "Sh-h-h-h-h-!"....

The argument closes with both men trying to reason while being unreasonable...
Rocky, "...Cause you yelled at me!! That's why! That's why!"...
Dreamz yells back, "Rock, you yelled at me just now! You're yelling now!!"
Rocky, "But you don't pay attention! I'm trying to explain to you!"
Dreamz yells again, "No!! You yelled!!"...
Rocky, "No! Go back to bed. Go hang out with your friends!!"
Dreamz, "Whatever, Rock..."...............

We get another Rocky conf.......
He tells us that he hates to show emotions. He's hated it since he was young and thought he was past it. "...But, it's really hard, especially under the conditions we're under right now. What am I supposed to do?"



What are the editors showing us about Dreamz?

That his name has meaning. "Strive" and "Achievement"

That he is competitive and his big rival for "Being King of Fiji" is Earl......
.........................

We are shown that he can be loud and funny...

We are given insight to who he is and that his life on the streets was, "...kinda like what's goin on right now." And that in comparison, "...I love it. I wish I could bring my family from home here."......

All of this sounds like good content to put in ep1 for the winner.

But Dreamz' night scene is not edited as a winner

The night scene starts with a confessional that tells us that Dreamz' loud annoying behavior is a tactic.

We see people tolerating it and even enjoying it.........

Then we have dreamz making racial comments........

And we see key players being shocked and annoyed.....

We see both Dreamz and Rocky out of control and disturbing the whole group. Especially we see Dreamz' tactic of being, "...playful and play too much, just to make sure they notice that I'm present!", backfire....

Would the editors create this night scene for the winner? It seems unlikely to me. And if they did, why is Dreamz' confessional about how he intends to use being loud? And why is it Rocky who has the sympathetic confessional at the end?

Dreamz is a "warrior", who's background makes him a "natural Fijian".

But we also are shown in Ep1 that he has possibly fatal flaws.

He will fight to the end, as he told Jeff at the last TC, but I don't think he would have been shown as he was in the ep1 night scene if he were the winner.


(He may be "higher" than Earl, but is he higher than Yau-Man?)
