This is definitely what I was thinking too, although I think it would be tough to fit Shambo into it and then once again, I'd have an imbalance of men and women on the season with women more likely to go far. But definitely a good idea to think about and work with. Thank you.

Anyways, great episode once again GF! Jim's thinking too short-term again, and it might lead to yet again another implosion ala Savaii. I know Aganoa's getting more developed and overall contains more potential winners, but it only takes one person from Taga (in this case, Stacey) to not rule them out.

I don't pay much attention to Bachelor Pad but I probably had it on while I was writing and for some reason that line stuck with me. If I ever do that, I always try to alter it a little bit so I didn't mean to take something from there, lol.

Anyways, glad you liked the episode. Jim is just thinking strategy 100% of the time, and I think we can see how that might hurt him at some point. I agree that there are more possible winners on Aganoa but we'll see what happens. Stacey also has a good shot, like you said.

I decided to finally jump in! I've read Nicaragua and I intend to read the other seasons as well. Glad Dawn/Cochran are faring well at the moment. They were my favorites in actual South Pacific so I'm hoping they do well this time. Really liking Elyse as well as I think she's a fun character. I'd like to see either of John/Brenda go next. That'd be nice. That, or Mikayla getting ~DESTROYED~ by ChriStacey.

Predictions

1) Brenda is going to be BETRAYED by Jimelyse at a certain point.
2) Whitney will have another meltdown and this will be her undoing (probably right after Keith is taken out)
3) Elyse and Brenda DEFINITELY making the merge. Their relationship is too developed to just terminate like that.
4) Jim looks like an FTC loser right now, but I think he actually could win if he finds himself two perfect goats.

As per usual: solid episode. Again, I feel Rick is a character that's hard to write about (in my fanfic he was the 5th or 6th in a similar fashion), but his exit was portrayed really well, given the circumstances of his ACTUAL character in SoPa

I was wondering if you were going to do a switch! Considering you took Redemption Island out, and you tend to not really do a premerge without mutinies/switches unless it's an all-star season. I think it couldn't have come at a more perfect time, and everything was written so well to build to this episode.

Stray observations:

-Brenda's rise to power is a bit over the top but pretty amazing to read. Like Rob in Redemption Island, the next big episode for her is going to be the merge, and I feel like then it can go either way in her favor.

-I'm happy Stacey and Christine found the Idol, though now I'm wondering if they'll turn into another version of Francesca and Kristina from your Redemption Island.

-Any positivity that I had for John was lost in this episode. He really went back to his old ways and you see what he does when his back is against the wall.

-Good for Cochran for getting a new life in the game! But as Brenda's follower? Say it ain't so!

-Interesting that we got perspective of the relationship from Whitney this episode, but no Keith. Maybe it's because we already know from the past few episodes that he trusts her.

-Poor Rick and Sophie. I'm glad Rick got at least a little bit of attention before leaving, and you never have a problem with really showing a person during their boot episode. They were trying the best they could, and I think it was funny that Rick ended up leaving, but not in the way originally thought of in the show.

-My prediction for next episode: New Aganoa wins Immunity, Brandon or Whitney leaves.

Glad you liked the episode. The switch doesn't necessarily mean that it will help John in the end, though. We'll see.

I think it would be hilarious if Mikayla throws the challenge and then gets idoled out, causing her own demise.

Good job calling the switch, and thanks a lot for the excellent Edgic ratings. I think they're fairly accurate to what I would do with again. Ones that could be debated: Brenda could definitely possibly have an N this time for her overall cockiness and getting called out by Jeff at TC. I also felt that Dawn was very CP in this episode, especially compared to the other eps. All of the other ones look really good to me.

Hi StephenWasHere! Thanks so much for commenting - always great to hear from a new reader. :) Nice of you to go back and read the older seasons - hopefully all of the links are working now. If not just let me know. I think Cochran and Dawn were definitely both helped out by the switch so we'll see how they ultimately do. And Elyse is definitely a popular and topic winner pick. I like her too. And I agree with you: if these other players are being smart, it would be a great idea to split up John and Brenda.

Oh my werd! I was so sad at the swap. It was so unexpected. =(

I really felt Whitney's passion and being away from the one she loves. It felt so real, it's like, you know it already beats the whole South Pacific in those moments... it's sad, especially because they had sex at night, which is a subliminal message from Cochran's confessional.

Stay strong Whitney ;-;. Please be with Keith <3 then ride the torrents <3. (I want Brandon out because he's not contributing a lot ;-;. Christine/Stacey/Elyse/Whitney/Brenda/Sophie/Mikayla/Dawn FINAL 8 please - seriously, I love these 8 g.oddesses in this fanfic <333).

This is shaping up to be one of the best seasons <3. I mean, the character/personality/game developments are all superb.

You did a really good job with Rick, who was far from a good character in SoPa (even though I have a soft spot for him that I can't explain). I was actually kind of upset seeing him go, but between him and Sophie, I'll take Sophie. I hope she can play a bigger role.

I hope Whitney goes soon. Not a fan of her at all. Hopefully another meltdown from her that ends up being her last moment in the fanfic.

Kind of surprised to see Brenda and John on the same tribe, but it's an interesting development. I kind of don't want them to succeed because I don't like returnees on the show in general, but this is just a fanfic, they're good characters, and isn't written like a huge blowjob to them (unlike the show), so I do want them to have some success. I also really do want Brenda and Elyse to unite again at the merge. I liked Elyse pre-show, and I find here a decent character here.

I also don't have an official winner pick right now, but if I had to throw one name out, it would be Cochran. I'd have to read all of the episodes again in order to get a more confident pick though.

Great episode :) Funny how Keith and Whitney are at the bottom once again :p I like how even though we see alot of John and Brenda we know about everybody else and anybody could possibly end up winning at this point. Elyse has been very carefully shown and I honestly think she could win. Hoping next episode to hear less from Brenda and John's tribe and more from the other. Great fanfic! Brandon needs to freakout Mikayla and finally see her for the devil she is next episode!
