the buttons aren't functioning yet, so he must be working on it.

I can't even get to the sign in to superpass page on the B3VViewer. I tried a re-install but notta.

I keep getting. "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" then when i attempt a refresh i get "There is a problem with this websites security certificate". Try and proceed. No dice.

Just opening superpass in normal IE8 i get the same but it lets me proceed to watch the feeds.

Probably something hinky with my IE settings...

I don't know what happened but I tried opening it again and now it's working but like someone else mentioned the feed is pixelated.

This is from the Facebook page about BBLite

***We need your help***. It looks like Real has decided to SECURE this year's feeds meaning they will only work from Real's website and not any other players. If you would like to use BBLite -- you're going to have to let Real know. Perhaps you can head to their SuperPass Live Feeds facebook page and sound off. Without them removing the security controls, you will not be able to use BBLite at all for this season. We have not found any workarounds yet... and are pretty sure we may not be able to.

Superpass are really retarded.
If they WANT to help BBLite. Why would they make the feeds harder to boil down?
Certainly a disconnect from the brass at SP to the tech dept.

The feeds are secured using the same AuthToken model as last season, that part hasn't changed, it is just a lot more complicated. The security itself hasn't really changed from last year, just some of the details of it's use. It's also an entirely different protocol that needs to be implemented as opposed to the simple progressive streaming protocol they used the last t:

wo years. That's the big issue this time around and isn't a trivial change.

The feed in B3V is currently pixelated as it doesn't have bitrate controls in place yet, it defaults to a lower resolution. That will be fixed shortly.

I'll come back and work through any issues people are reporting once I get the rest of the player features hooked up. But quickly, Syd, does the URL you posted work for you under IE? For problems with B3V, first make sure you can log into Superpass and view feeds using INTERNET EXPLORER on that same computer. If that works, try this page shows a feed:

If you can log into superpass with IE but B3V and that page do not show a feed, let me know.

Also, try running B3V a few times if you get a crash the first time. I'm not sure of the exact cause but it looks like a few people have had an issue with that. Running it a second time may update some settings allowing it to work. Any remaining issues I will deal with after the player fixes are done.

Thanks DY, but no donations necessary. I'm in the same boat as everyone else, just wanting a clean stand alone viewer than the Superpass site and doing what I can.

On a fresh IE browser start, LOGGED OUT of SP, if i go to http://superpass.real.com/ i get the "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." page.

I click "continue anyway" option and i get the popup "The current webpage is trying to open a site in your Trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this?" Under that is Current Site : res://ieframe.dll and Trusted Site : http://superpass.real.com.

I click yes and i can get to SP but i get the certificate error up top in red. I can then login and watch the feeds on IE and i CAN view that url in IE after i do that.

ETA: I know it's something with my IE. Tried googling around to find out how to stop the security cert. page from coming up but no dice.

Do you have IE 7, Syd? There are issues for me too. Funny thing is B3V seems to not have the issues.

This is the page that gives me the Sec. Cert. error on IE but when i run B3V and i'm logged in on IE i still get the Sec. Cert. error on B3V.

I just installed IE8 today from IE7 or 6 to try and fix it.
I went through the stuff in your screenshots. No dice.

I'll just have to google around how to fix it.
