A set number of couples move into a condo building (or something to that effect), each getting their own unit to renovate. At the end, they auction off the finished condos to the public with the couple who sells at the highest being the winner.

TK becoming a elmination challenge goddess is hopefully not an long term thing. That cake looked insane to make! I will miss Lydia, she was pretty lolzy "So I tapped the living shit out of that plate". I'm loving Mindy myself - I hope she makes it far. Wade.. I'll pass, I think it's his eyebrows that put me off, theres a few I'd let bang me from that show tho.. As for TK.. thought highly of her initially - not so much anymore. Also what is The Block? It's Masterchef without cooking. Pretty much there's teams of two (3 Couples and 1 Set of Brothers) that renovate "a block" of space. There are 4 apartments, Each with about 8 or 9 rooms and the renovate 1 or 2 rooms weekly. It's similar to Masterchef because they have 5 daily shows a week - Challenges where they can get money to Renovate, and the team that has the best Room(s) at the end of the week will win additionally anywhere from $5,000 - $10,000 to renovate future spaces. I guess they try to sell it at the end of the show, and whoever gets the most for their House wins. We're about 5 weeks in right now - They've renovated a few different rooms, Sometimes they're not as straight forward where you can make it a Living Room/Dining Room/Spare Bedroom, or sometimes they will dictate what you have to renovate. Last week they did a Master Bathroom/Laundry area, this week I think they're doing a Bedroom and Hallway. It's interesting. I'm liking it - and I don't really watch renovation shows.

I was amazed how everyone was killing it in that first challenge, I wouldn't have even managed to get any. I have a horrible palate. Who is Andrew though? Like I was just "who the hell is that" when he had the whole "fresh Coriander" thing. Whoever left in that bottom five, I wouldn't have cared because none of them are that rootable

LISTEN TO MEEE! MEE!" - Amina correctly pointing out there's something wrong with Filippo's bread - Filippo looking like Steve Buscemi everytime he's pissed - Mindy's quick jump from WHO? to TOPDOG. Love that she's actually really good with Asian cooking. I never thought I would see a white girl making Martabak - Kath is my favourite underdog at the moment. Hopefully she doesn't fuck up anytime soon - Debra's quick jump from a sweet grandma to biggest c.unt of the season - Matt crediting Masterchef as the main reason he's become a manager at Hungry Jacks

Smugness just chaps my ass. Unfortunately, though, she's a good cook and should stick around. On the other hand, I do like Debra. Go figure. I thought her "team" had balls of steel to say that it was her fault that they lost that team challenge. When all through the challenge, they'd been calling it Mindy's team. Shouldn't that make it Mindy's fault they lost? What could Debra possibly have done to make them lose?

Posts: 1669 05/29/12 10:14 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I don't think everyone thought it was Mindy's team, I think Debra just delegated alot of work and leaned on Mindy for support. The loss falls on Debra competley, she was totally disorganized and failed to put food out quickly - That's something she should have recognized and rectified right away, and failed to do so. Kath is gone now.. I was shocked.. I thought they would send Andrew home.. I thought Kath would be in for the long haul.. But I guess not.. My predictions based on the Top 50 are WAY off. And yay for Julia being the Ubercuntress of the week.

All the confessionals - they all called Mindy the leader. And if Mindy was in charge of the food ... not putting it out was really her domain. But, more importantly, they failed as a TEAM. They all just wanted to blame it on Debra, when I don't think it was on her. I'm not surprised that Kath is gone. I liked her, personally, but she did seem to be a more, fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants type cook. I'm always astounded at the people who enter this competition (not necessarily talking her) who have such limited experience with foods. Don't they prepare themselves to compete? Haven't baked a cake since he was 11? I mean, people like that deserve to fail.

I mean, Debra wasn't particularly cooking anything in that challenge, she could have appointed herself to bring out the food. Instead, she actually forced someone who was still cooking to bring out the food.

I seriously thought they should have just gave the Immunity to Audra - Dish of the day and she gets fuck all!

Wouldn't there be a lot of temptation for the two sous contestants to sabotage the challenge, especially when it comes down to final 12/10? Totally going to see a lot of "whoops I put sugar inside this risotto as oppose to salt" Kind of sucks for Kath to go out, not because of her dessert, but because her soup in the invention test, didn't seem all that bad. (Most mexican soups, are somewhat oily). Glad that Julia stayed, kind of loved her for screwing everyone with cactus only to screw herself. I feel like Audra is the one to watch out for. Kind of funny looking at the elimination chart, and seems like she hasn't done much...but she has been so crucial to a lot of team wins. Same goes for Sam.

Meh. Only one dish got a high donation - Shows the caliper of this group, or whoever they're getting to donate. And a $20,000 Fish Pie? I honestly thought it would be the Raviolo. DEB IS UP FOR ELIMINATION THO <3! Get The Cun.tress OUT!

Sam is a sleeper pick right now (he's probably a good pick if you want to win.) What's up with this week with no eliminations? Is it because Andy hurt himself? That is bull. In season 1, Geni cut her hand really badly and she still got eliminated in the next challenge.
