As a task, yes it sucked. As a time-consumer, it probably took longer than most recent tasks anyways, so w/e.

I don't know if it's me being hypocritical or what but I found that task still somewhat reasonable because 1) the reaction of the teams to the long queue + the great cultural relevance & insight into the life of the locals 2) it did have an impact on the team's placings 3) it wasn't that easy (the water containers were pretty heavy, I must imagine) 4) brenchel's epic screwup with the trolley (LOL) And yea, I agree that TAR was supposed to be tough, if not it's just kinda pointless.

In TAR5, teams who would have chosen to do the same Bee Detour at Tanzania, would have had to harvest 4x the amount that teams in TAR20 did. Wtf at the producers making it 4x easier now than it was 7 years ago. -.- Are the producers pussying-out or what?

If it was a Detour in TAR 5 then both team members were able to perform it. It was a Roadblock in TAR 20.

I believe in TAR4 (where Cochin was also visited), there was an unused FF task that involved Bollywood dancing and at that time it was rumored to be the most expensive task in the show's history. Too bad nobody attempted for it.

It was first introduced to the viewers in TAR5 in the India leg. Then we all know about TAR7 and most recently TAR20 But it all started in TAR2 as a FF task. However, it was unaired because nobody went for it (because the clue info explicitly stated that they will have to shave their heads - no cryptic clues). It was in Thailand and they had to look like monks. Japanese Gameshow task next week! not sure if it should count though...

Posts: 11813 05/01/12 04:55 AM Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I now have a seething hatred for the head shave simply because it is the most overused Fast Forward task (and arguably task) in the history of all of TAR (TARA had it, A Corrida had it, HaMerotz had it, TARAus had it, TAR:LA had it as a variation, and of course TAR has it for a whopping 4 times).
