Mr X819 wrote:I mean I'll admit I wasn't really into the ending, considering that I can't really separate myself from the Ralph I saw on the real show. But it sounds like the reasons were legitimate and it's a Fabio-like win in terms of the majority of the jury voting for a likable, relatable person, not necessarily the most strategic. I wish Sarita would have pulled it off; it sucks that she was so "cold and distant" in her responses, though I wonder why that would be knowing what was on the line. Honestly, I kind of expected Crystal to flounder, since she's always going to have an instinct to be defensive, no matter how much she tones down her personality (which unfortunately is one of the reasons why not a lot of people liked the returning players thing: it forces the editors/writers to make the character different). I do, however, love the coincidence that Crystal chose to betray Stephanie like Mary chose to betray her in All-Stars.Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the Redemption Island season. Again, not your best, but certainly not your worst (though your worst is nothing to scoff at). I'm very excited that you're doing South Pacific as well! In fact, here's the Wiki for it, along with the semi-finalized Wiki for Redemption Island!Redemption Island WikiSouth Pacific Wiki

guatemala fanfic wrote:I just put together a South Pacific story and will give a "bare bones" version of it like I did for the rest of Redemption Island, over the weeks to come. For now, I wrote this beginning of Episode 1 in about an hour to give people a sense of how it starts off. Note that because I used Upolu and Savaii as tribe names before, Savaii (red) is now known as AGANOA and Upolu (blue) is now TAGA.There is NO REDEMPTION ISLAND in this season. I want it to be redeemable, after all. Please let me know what you think. I will finish Ep 1 tonight but will not post it yet... Episode 1 PREVIEW: Ep 1 starts off very much like the real South Pacific did with establishing why Brenda and John are returning: they both played strong strategic games but came up short at the FTC and both believe they deserved to win over their opponent. “Alina winning, that’s like an insult to the game,” Brenda comments. “This time, there’s no second place.” John reiterates that he played one of the best strategic games that the game has ever seen and that it came down to jealousy of how great he was. He says that he’s going to have to lower himself down to these new players’ level. This sets the tone of two very savvy players who are going to fight hard to get to the end and prove that they can win this time. The new contestants are then introduced with some intro confessionals from a few key individuals. Who? I won’t go that much into detail but Brandon Hantz would, of course, be the last one to establish who he is. And even though Russell isn’t quite the legendary character in my world, having Brandon here with John will still be an interesting dynamic. The two tribes then come in together and Jeff says that 2 returning players will be added. There’s some brief discussion of who it could be and Stacey has a brisk confessional saying that whoever the player is on her tribe, they have to go. Brenda and John are then revealed and there’s some brief reactions. Jeff gives John a blue Taga buff and Brenda a red Aganoa buff. Brandon mentions right away how he doesn’t like John because John got his uncle voted off in Samoa so John is going to be early on his list of people to go. Christine says that she would have rather had Brenda ("I would have preferred Brenda, quite frankly") bc John’s "a privileged, rich kid who thinks he’s God’s gift" and she’s not really sure why he’s back for the third time. Brenda has a more positive reception (she has a confessional saying everyone was really nice, but she’s still going into the tribe with a huge target), but not everyone is thrilled to see her either: Jim comments that he absolutely agrees with Brenda that she should have won the game in Nicaragua, but that doesn’t mean he wants to be on a tribe with her. He says that he’s going to have to rethink his whole game plan now that there’s a returning player on his tribe. Jeff then tells them they are going to compete in their first challenge. It’s the same challenge, except that Brenda and John get to pick 2 people to compete with them. Keith and Jim compete with Brenda for Aganoa, while John chooses Albert and Sophie, who volunteers that she is good at puzzles. Keith and John do the pole climb to retrieve the turtle, Jim and Albert do the log dig, and Brenda and Sophie do the final puzzle. Taga maintains a slight lead throughout the challenge and, even though Brenda does well on the puzzle, Taga wins and gets flint. Elyse has a confessional that it was “heartwrenching” to lose the first challenge and to lose flint because it’s only Day 1 and you’re starting the game with a mentality that your tribe is a losing tribe. As Jeff gives flint to Taga, John has a confessional also underscoring the importance of the first win for gaining momentum. He predicts that it’s the first of many “Taga” victories. EDITED to correct myself and not call Taga "Upolu."

Truth wrote:This is Amazing! Actually, inspired by you I wrote my own RI and SP fanfic as well. In my Redemption Island fanfic, Steve, Ashley and Mike were the Final 3, with Mike winning. It's funny, because in my fanfic Ashley was a returnee from Redemption Island to. About my South Pacific fanfic, I'm only passed episode 2, without any returnee-players, but it's really hard because I like ALL of the female Survivors on that season, and I only hated Brandon and Cochran. So... well, I don't know./ Anyway, I <3 youand your fanfics. :)

I did confessional count for Nicaragua. Here it is
I originally was going to do the thing that you have on front page but Yuku fucked it up. Maybe some day. The thing I remember that Conf. Average Top 3 was Benry, Brenda and Alina with Brenda and Alina having about 3.70-3.80 average and Benry having about 4.00
