The "feel" of it was pretty awesome. It's also clear that it IS an Alien prequel, though I'm sure they would rather this be more of a circumstance and have it stand on its own. There's a very brief shot of an Alien alien carved in relief in a rock face. The ship looks similar to the designs from the Alien franchise as well, plus a little bit of Abyss. In fact the whole thing looks like just a mixture of Abyss, Alien, and Avatar...I'm actually surprised this is a Ridley Scott film and not James Cameron.

For me the big thing is how we now see how the big four are going to be played Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace. I'm kind of excited to see just how bad ass Charlize is going to be, is she Sigourney Weaver in Aliens or will she be more of an antagonist. And while we see a lot of Noomi Rapace we also see what could be her death in the trailer, is she the Kane/Lambert/Ripley of the film could be any one of the three. I like how Fassbinder is sort of a blend of Bishop/Ash and how we don't know what role he's going to be. Also keep in mind, we're talking about a genre in science fiction horror that is practically idiot proof. I don't know if I could list 10 bad sci-fi horror films, and those that I could list would be because they are cheap. This doesn't feel like a very cheap film.

Big things that look like liver flukes that slip thorugh your space suit and do unmentionable things to your niblets. Are they lonely space jockey parasites looking for a meal or are they an earlier incarnation of the alien species? I suspect there will be all sorts of gene splicing references in the new flick.
