Especially when contrasted with some trashy whore that Lynette originally feared. The point of conflict was supposed to be that Lynette had to let Tom explore this other option despite her discomfort because someone like Jane was exactly what her and Tom had in mind when they mutually agreed to separate and try to be happy apart. It's kinda cheating on the writers' part if Jane is now a huge bitch who is completely unsuitable for Tom.

It wasn't her place to tell the still married wife that she was moving in with her husband. It also wasn't her place to get numerous photos with Tom's daughter for the memory book. I'm with myopics in that she was portrayed as much more likeable when they introduced her. And, it was Lynette who insisted on the separation.

I hate the bitch, too, as much for that as for anything. Good for Lynette for inserting herself in those photos (and I thought she was hilarious)!

Also this wasn't cleared in advance w/Lynette, she was only expecting Jane. Also, Jane arrived on her own not with Tom.

And Tom was out picking stuff up. I'm sure he didn't expect Lynette to go bonkers again before he got there, but he was married to her, so maybe he should have.

But, my only qualm was Teri Hatcher's unbearable moaning and semi-shoddy camera work when he was pushing her out of the way. Now, with that out of my system... The scene between Teri/James was incredibly powerful, and per his interview, was a great way to bring their story full circle with their relationship beginning, evolving, and ending on that same porch. Although it doesn't say it anywhere in his interview, I really hope they bring back a bunch of ghosts in the finale. Maybe just standing behind a window or something watching the final moments transpire. Because, barring some horrible plots the past few years, this story and the resolution is so much about the characters that seeing them all there and remembering their relationships is their best bet on making the finale as moving as it could be. Piggybacking off of that last point, the flashbacks before the shot made me remember truly how much archive footage they have from eight seasons to wrap things up, and using that in May, much in the way it ended the episode this week, has the potential to make this finale equally as (or more) emotional than the closing minutes of SFU. So, predictions: - Mike's death brings Tom and Lynette back together (thank god), obviously, since Jane's now been made a villain. - Mike's death causes Julie to keep the baby and name him Mike Jr. (oh wait, we already have one of those, and he's totally useless now). - Absolutely no sure where Gabby's story is going, but I like it enough, since Carlos' epiphany and continuing along that path (though unlikely) is good enough for me, and anything where Gabby and Carlos end up together works. - Also not sure how Bree's story is going to end, but everyone can see the options a mile away.

Sheridan, 48, alleged during the two-week trial that her character on the ABC prime-time soap was killed in retaliation for a complaint she made accusing creator Marc Cherry of striking her in the head during a rehearsal. Cherry and his co-defendant, Touchstone Television Production, maintain that he only tapped her on the head to demonstrate a stage direction and had decided to eliminate her character months before. Unless Lynette changes dramatically, I don't want to see her back with Tom. Their relationship is toxic to both of them. Love the actress, hate Lynette, and Tom is almost as annoying as Lynette.

I get that she's back to being a spoiled, rich wife, but it's like half a decade of her life never happened.
