It then should ask all Survivors to contact them to see if they will be available during that time, and if so, to get things ready on their own (ie, their passports, etc). That way, if they have a twist, but too many people that they would need for it are not available they can go with something else.

SEG is not going to waste their time contacting every single former Survivor. Do you really think they're going to call Morgan McDevitt and notify her that they're filming a returning player season? As they did for FvF and HvV, they'll create a short list of 40-50 or so potential candidates, and work from there. Your idiocy is astounding.

Survivors are supposed to contact production to notify them that they could potentially be available during the period of filming? And if so to get their shit ready? I have a hard time believing anyone could intentionally post an idea that stupid. Let's tell every single Survivor, including the ones we have no intention of having on the show again, that we're doing another All-Stars! I am incredibly crafty and probably one of the most manipulative people who has ever lived, so it's understandable that I could get someone as young and naive as "Pammy" to expose every dirty secret out in the open. But I put absolutely zero effort into prying the information out of "her". Even Natalie Tenerelli would have been harder to manipulate.

And so on. I'm not saying do this from a perspective of give everyone a chance to come back. I am saying from a LOGISTICS standpoint, it is pointless to do a season of "Quitters vs Idiots" if the players that you would consider to be "quitters" don't want to come back or can't because of personal or other reasons. Remember that most Survivors are not doing whatever they want- they have lives and jobs and careers and families and can't just drop stuff down on a whim to do Survivor. The above gives all prospective Survivor's time to get thing in order if they want to come back. And then from there, Survivor can figure out based on whom wants to come back (and of course they are not going to just bring everyone back) what kind of seasons they can do with what they have.
