I put pressure on the bridge of my nose and the back of my neck and presto, no more blood.

Ice does nothing.

As a frequent victim of nosebleeds, I found just pinching the nostrils and leaning forward works well enough.

A neighbor who's a nurse said you're supposed to push on the angel-indentation above your upper lip. I think she's off-base.

The indentation is called a philtrum. Toss that out at parties! You won't ever be invited to another party but you can gloat about it.

Yeah, she's off base. A lot of nurses mistakenly believe they have knowledge to pass along. Silly.

Never had a nosebleed which would require any sort of attention. Maybe snotted out a few clots of blood in a goober-booger here and there. I always thought continual bleeding from the nose was just a general sign of weakness.

Oh... maybe she actually said to stick your finger up under your lip, beneath the philtrum, and press down. Allegedly a vein going to the nose lives there?

At least I know you DO NOT pinch off your nose and look up. Unless you want to fill your stomach with your own blood. And, really, how else are you going to accomplish that?

No, I love nurses. This one's got a fantastic ass, too.

However, she's got book mainly knowledge, whereas I have life experience. She was telling me this technique as her son got his FIRST nosebleed. I was trying to help, but I think it PO'd her.

It wasn't an implication. I came right out and said it.

40% of the reason I did so was to instigate the nurses here who will sniff that out instantly and go on a major defensive. Like they always do.

60% of the reason I said that was because I know several nurses at the moment who are trying to kill a few people I happen to like and one ex-nurse who recently molested me and I like to pretend that bothers me every few days even though I really don't care.

Also, notice how kindly I used percentages to appeal to your stupid ghostie name.

Likely that's the last time I address you, ghostie. Usually I don't talk to ghosts. But now and then... it can be an interesting dalliance.

I broke a blood vessel or some shit (I am not a doctor and can't recall) up my nose some years ago. It was bleeding..and then flooding..and CHUNKS of gore fell out. It was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend it.

My PCP wasn't concerned about the tags, so removing them would be elective ($). They do seem to be getting larger and squishier as I age. As long as they don't turn brown, I think I'll be okay.

Perhaps in 2014 ObamaCare will help you with the costs of elective skin tag removal.

If you were a school teacher in Buffalo they would pay for cosmetic surgery for you. It's a huge scandal. So big, in fact, that Anderson Cooper got into it.

Exacto knife. Direct pressure, but for a LONG time, say two hours. Styptic powder. Peroxide. Butterfly bandages. Good to go.

But if you can live with it, God bless ya.

May as well give them names in that case.
