You are bringing so much to this site :) . It was suppose to be Hatch against Hantz, so who was rigged it for in that one? Hatch? They rigged if for Rob when Hatch couldn't get out of the country? Sure he capitalized on naive players, but he still had to work hard for it and used his persuasion skills well, won some important immunities, found the HII. I could agree that since heroes villains he had more of an hero edit and that clearly helped him to a certain extent but saying that he had no merit at all, that's purely idiotic. And in Cyberball, TADLAM, that idiot is amongst us !

Redemption Island wasn't "rigged" for Rob in the traditional sense.

The tribes were stacked in such a way that whichever one of Rob or Russell picked the Ometepe buff would have a huge advantage. Look at the tribe distributions:

Zapatera:

25 year old idiot girl

that's pretty accurate! It clearly would have make it tougher for Rob. But seeing how David, Mike and Steve seem to respect Rob, i'm not sure if his proven charisma couldn't have worked with zapatera too.... guess we'll never know. But certainly Ometepe were more easily brainwashed, that i agree with. But still, he got rid of the two that were not as easily brainwashed and wanted him out in Francesca and Kristina so he did that part well.... and i don't think Zapatera would have thrown a challenge to get rid of him. I do think that Redemption island was an element they wanted to include to help both of them knowing that they would be a target from the start but he didn't actually need it so.... Russel might have stayed longer on Ometepe but not by much.... we'll never know! :) But your point is fair.

Who was the 21 year old smart girl in Ometepe? If Andrea REALLY were the Survivor fan that she claims she was, yet admits there was NEVER any plot to go against Rob, then she was just as stupid as the others. The fact that there was no plot against Rob was not Andrea's fault.

It takes more than one person to make a move, and Ashley, Grant, and Natalie were not going to budge. If Andrea had so much as approached them with an idea, they would have gone straight to Rob and Andrea would have been voted out a lot earlier than she was.

I have no problem calling out things if they deserve to be. Saying Andrea was a smart player is pure BS. She was just as stupid as everyone else on the tribe. And like I said, if she REALLY was a fan of the show like she says, then she has even less of an excuse for her stupid play. Making her....a stupid and weak player. Yeah she won her RI duel and did nothing with it. She needed to be stirring the pot with this Natalie and other retarded woman in her tribe from Day 1.

Survivor's real weakness, which was stated in that thread/story about the reasoning for more back-to-back filming in the same location and more drawing upon previous players to play, is that Survivor has never done well in DVD sales. It really only sells to the fans of the show. And the show did nothing in syndication when it was on OLN a 6 years ago. Partially because the show's ratings are so good, that syndicating it apparently costs more then it is worth to put on.

I thru out an idea a few years ago, that in order to really sell the show on DVD and on syndication, they need to give us more. Most of us have seen EVERY second of every episode that they have ever put out. So my idea is to go away from the 42 minute/3 day episode. Give us a new cut, where we get 42 minutes per every hour, with each episode dedicated to 1 day of Survivor. This would mean we see EVERYTHING. Entire challenges from start to finish. More going on in camp. On TC days, we see more of TC. That sort of thing.

Cyberball, if you want to see all that, then feel free to go to CBS headquarters and offer to spend the next 10 years of your life editing all that together.

No one is going to waste their time re-editing episodes just to put them on DVDs that only a handful of people will buy.

Although it's done wonders being sold overseas. According to Australia's Channel Nine, Survivor actually picked up more viewers from encore airings of episodes being shown a few days after the Tuesday nights that it normally airs on, and the international sales elsewhere must be pretty good.
