Of course your doctors up there will tell you we crazy Americans go for the knife too quickly but trust me there are lives saved because of it & there are good reasons it's done. Now, there are things you DO do better in Canada & that's have low incidences of MRSA infection. You can & should be bragging about that.

You & your baby were fortunate. The point I was making is that the docs here don't just rush in & operate willy nilly. There have to be good reasons.

I've had three babies now though and talked to umpteen women in the US who did not have GD and whose doctors insisted they induce or have a c-section purely due to the size of the baby. Thats where my comment came from about US doctors wanting to do c-sections

None of them had unnecessary C sections. So does your umpteen trump my umpteen? Or could it possibly be that you made a sweeping generalization about something that you really do not have the statistics to back up? I mean, talking to umpteen women really doesn't qualify for a study based in numerical fact.

Anyone ever hear of the Mormon "lost boys?" Those women aren't going to stand up for their kids no matter how badly they get treated.

Posts: 22513 10/30/11 11:28 PM Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Interesting episode tonite. The 2 bratty 8 year old girls (1 from Christine and 1 from Robyn) move in with Meri. Robyn uses the excuse that she doesn't want Meri to get "empty nest syndrome", and Christine admits that her mouthy brat is acting up and behaves better at Meri's house. Meri prepares a bedroom for the 2 girls and looks like the perfect mom to them. Then the unhappy teenagers are bullying Robyn's kids. Hunter in particular, can't stand Robyn or her family. All the teens seem to be doing is feeding off each other's misery about being in Las Vegas and missing Utah. That is probably becoming a vicious self feeding, never ending cycle of misery. Will be interesting to see if it gets addressed by the "adults" as Janelle called them. Frankly, I think the older teens should just join the military, get some life's skills, save with the current version of the GI bill for education, and then head for Utah when they can pay their way through college. However, most of them are so fat, they will need to reduce weight to get accepted. Adding Robyn to the family and going public sure did completely rip apart these kids lives. Before all that happened, they all lived under one big roof and had access to all of the moms and their siblings in the same house. They are probably ostracized at school, too.

My favorite part was when Hunter was all pissed that Robyn and Meri were busy doing their makeup out in the bush. I thought he was fairly justified there :-) I actually felt bad for Robyn's kids this episode. Although I agree with Logan - you force all this change upon the family and what do you expect?
