Kona's Google Earth images are stunning. You look at those shots of Escamequita and Escameca and think, "Yep, there you go.. ". They're perfect. Lovin' the thought of fresh water for bathing.As birdlady said, "It might be a deal where they need to close more beach than they will use directly, because of the background." First person to spot a surfer in a background shot gets a MESS badge!

This photo is labeled Playa Yankee. It looks like the rock is further in the distance then it is in the photo above, so maybe it's at Playa Hermoso or Tamarindo. Just thinking..

Those satellite pics look very dry and arid. Yikes! I wonder how much food could grow in and around the rivers mouth.
