The jury pays him no serious consideration, they treat him poorly on the whole, do not take him seriously, and do not respect his game. He approaches things terribly all along, from telling Jerri she owes him her vote, to telling someone like Coach that "it's just a game" over the necklace incident, when any fool could realize that it's more than just a game to Coach. In many instances, he doesn't really get the chance to speak, the jury rakes him over the coals and knows going in that it is strictly a choice between Parvati and Sandra. So it definitely hurt his ego that nobody was marveling over his game. Candice made some sort of comment that he is like an abusive husband and Parvati an abused wife, he took it as a compliment and said thank you, so that elicited some laughter from everyone.

What should prove to be an amusing storyline is at the merge when Danielle shifts her infatuations from Russell to Colby. She basically has a huge crush on Colby. Colby keeps to himself aside from his de-facto alliance partner Rupert and his new friend Jerri. There is animosity between Danielle and Jerri because Danielle doesn't like that Jerri gets to hang out with Colby all the time. Jerri learned her lesson from the first two go-arounds, and is tight with both Colby and Rupert. She sees that the heroes are all going down and she wants to play nice to get some jury votes. Colby and Rupert keep her close because they are looking for a Pearl Island/Australia alliance. However, Jerri stuck with Russell, a decision she regrets. If they could have gotten a committment from Jerri, they would have turned to Sandra, who was already exploring her angles against Russell anyway. It would have been the best hope the heroes had. It's too bad for Jerri because it would have made for an amazing ten year story arc for her to come back and win the game, especially being in the finals with Colby.

Another point on Danielle shifting her infatuations, the last episode where Danielle questioned Russell and they argued will become relevant to her downfall. She will question him again at the merge when she complains non-stop that he is the only one the Heroes are speaking to. She worries about what he could be telling them and isn't trustful of what he's doing. She tries to push her own opinion but doesn't realize the rest of the cast sees her as completely irrelevant. Amber left well enough alone and went on to win the game, but Danielle wouldn't allow herself to do that, and took 7th.
