last minute by a heroic man. Then somewhere around the era of Jamie Lee Curtis, she'd fight for her own survival at the end. We haven't reached the
stage yet where a woman could rescue a man being chased by a serial killer.
I get your point. I think the original "Halloween" was 1978 and although Donald Pleasance eventually got the house where she was babysitting, Jamie Lee Curtis had already stabbed Michael Myers in the throat with the knitting needles. Donald Pleasance shoots him several times, thereby "rescuing" JLC. I was thinking more along the lines of 1979's "Alien" where Sigourney Weaver is the only survivor. |

Rewatching the first episode was interesting.
It's funny to hear Trish say in episode 1: "I don't want anything to ruin this wedding." That ship has long since sailed. Watching episode one did give me a new appreciation for this show. Yes, it was very Knots Landing, but this was the world these upper middle class people lived in. It shows just how much they were shaken out of their lives by what's happened. No matter who the killer is and how, we were taken on a journey. It was also great to see Cal/Chloe loveable from the word go. Beth was barely recognizable and in the background as she was until she was chopped in half. |

Blueberry clearly didn't watch the show. Its okay he's only posted in this thread and must be a white trash poster from the CBS board. He isn't on
the same level as me, Gigi, Trishpoo, and my Nate

Ok, even though, I am a old lady who was scared as heck when that man was cut in half...
I thought that the tall, blond man looked pretty suspicious when it happened. He was not that scared, well from what I remember. |

I think I figured out why Wakefield didn't kill Jimmy.
It's part of the getaway plan. Wakefield would go back into hiding with the $250,000. Everyone off the island thinks he's still dead. Henry goes back to his multi-media company somehow inheriting the Wellington fortune. Henry will set this up so that Jimmy takes the blame. No one will suspect "too nice" Henry of multiple murder. His plan is to successfully convince the State Troopers that he somehow fought off Jimmy and saved himself. "Everyone knows how Jimmy flipped out when Abby left the first time, and now look what he did as soon as she came back, and then there is his criminal record...." Henry and Wakefield need Jimmy around to blame when everyone else is dead. That's why they are letting him live. Or since I've been cleaning tonight, maybe the smell of Pinesol is going to my head. But it makes sense. It's not because of any kind or sympathetic feelings on behalf of Wakefield and Henry, or a deal for Abby to be happy. It's all part of their plan. It would make sense if Wakefield and son Henry came up with an exit strategy. "Sure, Sheriff. In exchange for your life we'll be glad to let Jimmy live (which is already part of our plan to frame him later anyway). Uh, Yeah, for Abby to be happy. That's the ticket..."

I could believe that.
Henry does not seem that nice though. He attacked JD and Shane for no reason in some of the episodes. |

Henry is scum, he clearly banged Abby before and is still lusting for her. Trish should go Fatal Attraction on his ass
