The Ayers dude isn't a governor and he's been where he's at for awhile. Not the same job as Sanford's old position.
So if her desire is to campaign and fundraise for other candidates in 2010....fun! Traveling to DC all over the nation all the time isn't reasonable for someone stuck in Alaska (also cue 1342098102395813 ethics complaints) so it'll be easier for her now that she's unemployed. But I wonder if she'll be the hot commodity she would have been without this new saga. No one else in the party right now can draw crowds like she has, but I don't know if that'll be the case now that the perception will be that she's basically validated all the attacks on her, fair or not. |

Also, what I said about drawing crowds and every Republican candidate in the nation wanting to hold a fundraiser with her is (perhaps was) true. She's easy
to make fun of but Republicans still LOVE her if you look at recent polls. The party is bankrupt in terms of charismatic and interesting voices and has been
for years. That's why so many rallied around her so quickly and ferociously, despite the fact that she lacked the substance and depth to run a national
campaign. That's why I'm wondering if she'll still have such diehard support after this (if there's no scandal or anything)
She's also too much of a Bush-esque big government socialcon for *MY* tastes but that's another issue. ^_^ |

Okay, I've now been able to get independent information from multiple sources that all of this precedes what are said to be possible federal indictments against Palin, concerning an embezzlement scandal related to the building of Palin's house and the Wasilla Sports Complex built during her tenure as Mayor. Both structures, it is said, feature the "same windows, same wood, same products." Federal investigators have been looking into this for some time, and indictments could be imminent, according to the Alaska sources. The BRAD BLOG has not been able to receive confirm from any federal sources on this. Our information comes from local Alaskans who follow Palin, and who have been keeping an eye on this for some time, while keeping it quiet at the request of federal investigators. |
