Last week, Nigel told Jason he did the worst solo of the three -- but Max was sent packing

He's pretty until he opens his mouth and starts flailing around like an especially childish 8 year old girl.

My daughter and I looked at each other funny when we heard Brandon saying that about hip hop. However - it was a beginning hip hop class for kids with no dance experience. I know sometimes they would have advanced students of the school (which Brandon was) sub the class because it was just a few simple dance steps. What I'm guessing Brandon meant was the caliber of hip hop expected for the show is a zillion times greater than teaching some beginner kids a few hip hop moves. . |

Thank god that trainwreck Karla finally left. She should have gone week 1.
I anticipate losing CaitlinGoddess next week and that makes me cry rivers but at least they were't eliminated after the sabotage with that dance routine given to them. :) CAITLIN AND JASON FOR THE MIRACULOUS COMEBACK PLZ. They are my favorite couple by far. |

When the fans start trending down, it's difficult to turn the trajectory upward. This does not bode well for Phillip -- he will probably DFYL next week. |

cginspace wrote: To be fair, he's not. He's the only guy so far this year I've like watching in the hip hop routines because he can actually hit it hard like it's supposed to be done. And that's because his style lends itself well to hip hop. Unlike, say, flouncy limp-wristed Pono who couldn't hit anything hard. When is Nigel going to realize Kayla is NOT America's favourite dancer. This isn't America's Best Dancer therefore continuing to safe Kayla is useless. That said it's not as if they like Karla any better so it's not too bad tonight. If she's in the bottom 3 again I want to see her gone. The judges kept saving Danny and Will over America's objections, and America eventually started voting for them. So there is precedent. We'll see if it works with Kayla.

Suzy wrote: And it depends on the hip hop class. The hip hop taught at my daughters studio to the recreational kids is hip hop light, I always tell my husband that it's hip hop for white people. I can't imagine that any of them that were competition kids (and most of the contemp/lyrical/jazz kids would have been) have never done hip hop because they take hip hop dances to competition and take hip hop classes at competition, however, it's more jazz/cheerleader/hip hop than real hip hop (which is generally what we get from NappyTab). If you watched the intro videos at the begining of the season the dancers said what they'd been trained in and most said they'd had several forms of dance. Nigel just likes to fit dancers into pretty boxes (hell, Kayla was real hip hopper wasn't she?) for their styles instead of admitting that most dancers dance in multiple styles and while they may be better in one style than another they've all had the training, espically the girls. |

Brandon does know hiphop. He danced for the coral reef high school dance team (my daughter remembers him from uda high school nationals) and they were an
awesome team. He also choreographed their hiphop routine in 2007 and they won first place that year in large varsity hiphop. My daughter didn't compete
against his squad as she was in small varsity.

WHAT?!? She was barely shown at auditions and Vegas, usually a kiss of death. They've given her moderate praise, and she's had all good to excellent performances. Dumb comment. |

Can I just say how baffled I am by the judges' overuse of the word "desperate" and then their constant bashing of people who don't do
anything elaborate in their solos...... How do you win?
I still want Phillip inside me, by the way. |
