How about when the defense attorney chick waltzed into the crime lab and demanded to see the paperwork and the (now dead) CSI guy just hands it to her as if
she were his boss.

'SVU' exclusive: Stephanie March is staying!Jun 11, 2009, 04:02 PM | by Michael Ausiello Categories: Law & Order: SVU, News With so much attention focused on the Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay talks, I nearly forgot about the up-in-the-air fate of another Law & Order: SVU vet: Stephanie March. I say nearly because I just did some snooping and learned that the actress has quietly inked a new contract to continue playing ADA Alex Cabot. How lengthy is her commitment? Read on and find out... NBC declined comment, but an SVU insider says March's pact calls for her to appear in a minimum of 10 episodes next season. The show is expected to introduce one or possibly two new characters to fill the ADA void when Cabot isn't around. March, who left SVU's full-time ranks in 2004, returned for a 10-episode run last spring. Her first episode back was one of the show's most-watched of the season. Ecstatic that March is sticking around? Then proceed to the comments section, silly! |

I LOVE Cabot.
I think they should still keep Melinda McGraw around, I liked her in the sexting episode. As for any of the detectives staying around, it's funny to watch an episode from season 5 or 6 and hear Dr. Wang tell them that the usual tenure for an SVU detective is 2/3 years...so, in reality, all 4 of the detectives are past their prime. I just think that they need to put Elliot and Olivia in a new direction. After watching seasons 1-7 on Roku (I know, I'm a freak), their characters at least had growth and such...their relationship changed, etc...etc...But for the past three years, we've just gotten angry Elliot and holier than though Olivia. Change'em up a bit...The whole Kathleen subplot, although well-acted, was merely just a way to dig into his personal life, because as a detective, they have nowhere else to go for either of these characters. And random note, every other season of SVU is available to watch directly on Roku...except for Season 8...WTF?! |

I just can't help but thinking next season's episode will be about the homicide of a music star and a 70's blond blombshell.

They already did an episode about MJ, remember? He was a pop star obsessed with youth and I think he was suspected of being a pedophile. Maybe they can revisit
the character with his death.

Is a guest star really a spoiler?!
Either way...if he's a guest star, they're either looking to introduce him as a recurring character that they do every now and then, make him full time if successful, or he's the rapist/killer/whatever. |

Did no one else watch the premiere?
If you didn't I will spoil by saying That Wentworth Miller sucked the life out of that episode and the ending was really messed up, like I was actually mad. Oh there doesn't seem to be an official DA this season |

He sucked the life out of the scenery, the show, my attention span...
I hate the new ADA, too. The end shook me though. Mostly because of how Elliot reacted to what the ADA told him. It wasn't overly dramatic just traumatic, which made it perfectly done. |
