Posts: 3734 (07/02/09 5:11 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I've been watching more shows in HD lately and I keep being distracted by the bright reflection of studio lights beaming out of actors' eyes. If you'll allow me to wax poetic: technological advancements are meant to bring our visual entertainment ever closer to reality, but instead HD technology is breaking down the illusion of reality that studio production attempts to achieve.

Posts: 28362 (07/02/09 6:00 AM) MESS member Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	maybe it's the contact lenses? and notice how scenes are getting darker and darker to hide scenery faux pas and fakery - I hate it in those CSI shots where they're always using flashlights to look for stuff - why don't they just turn on the lights? It's the total opposite of the early Westerns where all the interiors were brightly lit.
