There is no way the dances are randomly chosen. Some choreographers obviously only agree to choreograph if they get to pick their couple (and new
choreographers generally get good couples). No way would we of had Classical Ballet at all if Melissa was gone. They would not have given a routine like that
to a dancer that was unqualified to do it (and all of the other dancers are probably unqualified to do a routine like that, certainly no other pair could
handle that).
There is plenty of producer interference in the style and the choreographers do that also, they choreograph based on the dancers ability, a good pair gets better choreography or better tricks because they can do them. Mia's routines for example are almost always choreographed for each individual dancer. Flips and lifts depend on the dancers ability to do acrobatics or lift their partner (Did we ever see Benji attempt a lift).

They need to do the performance show live like American Idol. AND they need to do the 'drawing of the cards' to determine dance style live on
Thursday's show. Right now it feels like Nigel is a control freak.

I like Karla! I usually love Evan and Randi, but they were not as good this week. Randi seemed to lack energy. I agree about the assigned dances being rigged.
"Follow the ratings." The longer they have Phillip dancing hip hop/ popping, the longer they keep the 15-25 market. I don't think he's going
to win or even get top 4, but he brings in a certain pool of viewers, and that equals advertising cash. I like Caitlin's interviews and solos, but she is a
very sloppy dancer in the couple routines. I don't know why? I wanted her to be better than she is, but I actually cringe when she performs. We'll see
what happens tomorrow.

The problem with the Pas de deux was the choice of music.� Instead of Prokofiev, they should have gone with Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet.� It is more
mainstream, and familiarity with the music helps to make it seem less "boring", as so many here have complained.

I so love Jean Marc - he always has the BEST choreography!!! And not only that, but he's such a great teacher. I remember in the past another couple
discussing the analogies he uses. He really brings out the best in dancers. <333333

I really liked tonight's show, but it is because all but one couple was close to their element (and it was the fodder couple; how fair). I am annoyed that
dancers like Evan and Ade are not being challenged at all by this contest in terms of versatility. My top three were also Janette/Brandon, Kayla/Kupono, and
Vitolio/Karla. But I wish Asuka was still there because I think she would have done a better job than Karla.
I also liked the alien routine, but I am not at home, and am watching through crappy antenna reception, so I couldn't see if Caitlin's preformance was good or bad. But does anyone see the hilariety in having Jason do a routine where he acts terrified of having sex with a girl? I was expecting more from the pas de deux (there were too many moments of either no dancing at all, or just one partner dancing), but it was good. The only routines I did not care for were the broadway (but that Joey girl is much better than Tyce), and the hip-hop, which had boring choreography. I think Jason/Caitlyn will be in the bottom, along with two of Phillip/Jeanine, Evan/Randi, and Karla/Vitolio. |

I wish wish wish there was a way to trade Jeanine the dactress for Caitlin going home tomorrow, but alas, I'm afraid it is to be. I'll miss watching
Caitlin and trying to excuse her dancing.
