Remember how back during the campaign, you kept saying you wanted Palin to do some press conferences? And then in the final weeks of the campaign she told McCain's people to go to hell and started holding press conferences with the reporters following her campaign around. Press conferences where she came across as intelligent, informed and knowledgable about a wide breadth of issues; but oddly enough, the only place where we found out about those press conferences was one CBS reporter's blog.

For some strange reason, none of the MSM wanted to show her as an intelligent, informed and knowledgable candidate. Gee I wonder why... well, not really.


And what about that recent interview Wolf Blitzer did with her concerning the Alaska gas pipeline? Wolf told her that she would be contributing to a glut of natural gas by building it. I wonder what Wolf was saying to the people who wanted to develop more domestic oil drilling back in 1999? Crude was selling for about $22 per barrel, gas was selling for right around a dollar per gallon, and it looked like the oil glut would continue indefinitely.

But here it is ten years later and we're learning to live with crude prices that flucuate from $35 to over $100 dollars per barrel and gas prices that have gone over four dollars per gallon. Had those domestic resources been developed ten years ago, they would just be starting to reach maximum production right about now. Maybe Wolf has a magic mirror that allows him to peer into the future and see where natural gas supplies and prices will be ten years from now... or maybe he's just a shortsighted ass who thinks he's a lot smarter than he really is.
