Plans so far for July a weekend in Boston and a week or two in Paris... I can't stop going back to Paris even though I should move on. I really wanted to summer in Budapest. I am down to four weeks before I have to go back to the salt mines. plan my July? Other than killing myself (natch) where should I go?

Or at least a school teacher. without a brood of kids or pets that need a trillion dollar vet. So my sister goes to sienna and florence but I cannot tear myself away from Paris. It is really not that expensive. Except the euro sucks. I have been known to drink a bit. lol.

Other posters who live overseas don't get my obsession and think I should go somewhere else... but really what could be better? I'm a big baby so I totally cry at all the beauty there.. seriously. I was there at Christmas and was in a very lucky place where the Opera was rehearsing on Christmas Eve and I was basically alone there with the crappy chagalll ceiling listening to a rehersal alone... it was un beliveable.

I went to France for spring break a few years ago and it was an amazing experience, especially Paris. It definitely helped that most of the people I encountered were friendly and understanding when I spoke English, plus I spoke a little French to them so that helped too.

If you haven't found your way there yet, visit Sainte Chapelle http://www.sacred-destina...aris-sainte-chapelle.htm When you have spent a few days in Paris, hop on a train to the French Riviera down to Nice. I'm not that fond of Nice, but it has plenty of cheap hotels so it's a good place to start at. If you manage to get there in time for the 14th of July, you'll have a blast! The train that goes along the Riviera will take you to Monaco, Cannes, and othere lovely towns. You can also take buses to visit other interesting cultural locations.
