As a single parent I've watched the show a few times. I just can't imagine the daily chaos that goes on in that house. My one child takes up most of my
time, I can't imagine it times 7.

Wednesday July 1, 2009 Jon & Kate Plus 8 ratings plummeted 77 percent last Monday. Only 2.4 million viewers tuned in -- significantly down from June 22's much-hyped divorce announcement episode, which was watched by a record 10.6 million. See what stars look like with Kate's hair. (In comparison, the show's season 5 debut attracted 9.8 million watchers.) Monday's episode, titled "The First 10 Years," consisted mostly of old clips. The show is now on hiatus until Aug. 3 to give the family "some time to regroup," the network said in a statement. Find out how the Gosselins spent summer. I wish they would hurry up and disappear from the media. I'm sick of seeing their faces every time I'm in a check out line. I don't doubt
they'd have divorced show or no show other then the fact they would be too financially strapped to do so with 8 kidlets. I don't think I've watched
an entire show as just like Amy Roloff and her bitching in all her talking head moments, Kate had the same bitch, moan and groan attitude about life. I
don't know if Amy got better over the years but sounds like Kate got worse as the series progressed. All the "I'm poor, I'm exhausted, my
husband is an idiot and my kids are too much work" really just made me want to slap duct tape over her mouth. Hey lady you married the dude, you choose to
carry a litter so STFU.
I was shocked when I first read that TwoP forum and there were a bunch of women swooning over Jon. Really? Now all the news about his 23 year old girl friends. I just don't see the attraction. He did seem pretty hands on with the kids back in the early shows so I never got why Katie acted like he just stood around with his thumb up his ass. Then her complaining that when she was having an unholy meltdown screeching fit he was supposed to be all "Sweetie, I see you're stressed how can I help you?" Right, lady. Neither of them will win parent of the year and those poor kids are going to need therapy forever living in this farce of a product placement reality show. What kid wants DVDs and books by their parents telling them how much of a pain it was to have to deal with them and how mommy and daddy were much happier with just two kids. Freaks. |

This is what I always hated about Kate, because Jon used to seem like a pretty cool guy. He just needed to be with a woman who was more laid back, and not an uber-controlling she-beast. And I understand that rules and organization are essential when you have ten people living under one roof, but it was her attitude that seriously bugged - that Jon was always just one more kid in the way. I've known lots of people like her - they have to be in control of everything all the time, but everyone else is supposed to "help out" - which means do exactly what they say. And other people quickly learn not to take any initiative because they'll most likely do it "wrong" and why bother? They just wait for their orders - which makes it seem like they're just sitting around, never trying to help. (In some cases they can't even ask what's supposed to be done, because approaching the beast in charge is a major infringement of the rules - you don't impose questions on the beast before it's ready to answer!) It's a vicious cycle with no way out. |

It's a vicious cycle with no way out.Right, I remember a scene where he asked her what shoes to put on the kids and she threw a rant. Dang, I think I would have threw a shoe at her head. Just answer the question and stop the temper tantrum because she'd just bitch if he'd gone ahead and put on the shoes and say he'd gotten the wrong ones on. I remember in an early show where it showed him getting up for work, getting the two older girls off to school and making her a thermal mug of coffee and setting on her bedside table. Give me a break, she should be up and taking care of those babies and not lying in bed getting room service from hubby. My hubby always brings me up a cup of coffee first thing in the morning but I'm getting up when he does that not getting in another 40 winks. |
