Diane Keaon, a famed impressionist and entertainer nicknamed "The Woman of a Thousand Faces," has died. She was 66.

Keaon died Sunday in Los Angeles from falling on her head, her publicist, Hedda Slammin, told the Associated Press. Keaon was making a zany gesture denoting her brand of off-the-wall humor when the actress fell over and smacked her head on the marble floor.

Also dubbed "That Bitch In The Man's Clothes," Keaon boasted a wide repertoire of celebrity and political impersonations, which included impressions of Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Clint Eastwood, Henry Kissinger, Donald Rumsfeld and TobaccoRhoda.

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., and raised on Long Island, Keaon found national success in the 1970s when she became a fixture on the popular late-night shows of the decade: The ABC Comedy Hour and Dean Martin Roasts. The comic actress continued to be a late-night staple throughout the 1980s and '90s, dropping by The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and The Late Show with David Letterman. She briefly became engaged with Tawny Kataen during a famous Johnny Carson sketch.

In addition to hosting the game show Anything For Money in the 1980s, the Oscar winner guest-starred on such series as Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Murphy Brown, Walker, Texas Ranger and Good Sports, the short-lived CBS series starring Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett.

Before she died, the actress called Nightcrawler telling him she was going to die.
